What is TA thinking?

I have noticed in life that if a business has poor amenities, upper level management does not care, if TA is changing its because someone in upper level management has gained control that cares and they have started hiring good managers at their TA's that care. A good attitude starts at the top and it now appears the TA's have either gotten rid of their upper level idiots because the TA's have been terrible for years. Good to see they are getting some sense now. I may stop in one now and check it out just for drill.
We just spent the weekend in Albuquerque, NM and the showers were great! Clean with two towels.
I had to do laundry and was pleased the TA had four washers and four dryers that all worked for $2.00 a pop. The bad part was they were filthy. It looked as if they had not been wiped down in days. This is an area I hope TA will look into as many of us depend on the washer and dryers.

Even that famous TA in Los Vegas has the "new look" showers.

well I'm shocked.I just was in the TA Oak Grove MO.I never do showers at that location,go across the highway to the petro,but sincwe I had 9 showers on my TA card ,stopped here.There weren't two towels as mentioned,but three,and a wash cloth.They all appeared to be brand new,I almost thought I was in the bathroom at a motel.Great job TA.Also noticed,they are getting ready to combine the petro and Ta cards into one
Lets stop the boat ... Anyone want to be President of Expediters of America? Our on lobby for vans , straight trucks and18 wheelers could improve our way of life. We could get what we want when we want and free showers for all us stink n drivers. amen
New Flash: Nitwit Lindsay Lohan is in jail, bless her heart, she needs our prayers and a few grams of coke to get her through this tragic and unjustified sentence because she is a sweet girl and the locals will miss her money and reckless driving that keeps the sheet metal shops open. omy. If u all will send me 20 dollars each I will forward this to her rehab unit for u.

The Government decided that Pilot had an unfair advantage on us poor drivers and ordered them to sell some of their J's and or Pilots to Loves. So that's why you will see Loves in places that the others were, ie, Ellensburg, WA. Loves explains and shows you a list of all the places that they bought on their website.

We tended to fuel at TA anyway for the fuel discount but this just makes it pretty tough to fuel anywhere else.
We've only been in this business for just over a year but this shower renovation from TA has earned a great deal of reputation and loyalty from us.
We recently read about the combined TA / Petro card. We heard it will be an Ultra Card. We've also seen it advertised at the kiosks.

I too am glad they are finally paying attention...but I would bet its more due to the 900 lb gorilla that just showed up called Pilot/Flying J than anything drivers complained about.
The new card in effect Sunday...credits are now for 7 days instead of 3 days!

Is this for diesel purchases only?????
Nope...50 Gallons accumulative over 5 consecutive days...gets you a shower...GAS or diesel...and good for 10 days!
ie...20g + 20g + 20g= 60 gallons= 1 shower and 10g towards the next one...the gallons rollover....
The gas pumps, the card reader does not read the Pilot card..so you have to go to counter and the clerk will add it to your card...
The NEW card info should be posted by now on the TA website..

Ya know there are many members that have been scamming the J system for years....
They get a 2nd card for the sig other..that did not drive and then had the cards linked together and for a mere 15G purchase would get a FULL shower...that was a loophole,still is...
so some should real careful before the yell foul on the J...

I am going to apologize to myself for ever thinking that showers were so d*** important. There are plenty of Mom N PoPs still around and this whole thing sounds to me we are cry babies, well that's my opinion and 5 cents to boot, now where is the Waffle House. Scre* the T A the FJ, the p**tro, Lov*, and all the rest of the pocket robbing s o %. I hope some day Wally World gets in the trkstop business, it would sure stop the ripoff trkstops from taking ur hard earned money. My steam valve just busted.amen

Probably not, but I have installed a new steam valve and all is well so far, Im back to doing Point A to B and trying not to be overzealous, but I wont last long,lol
