What is EO All About?

The Diesel fuel tax thing is still there because the links update now and then, so the info changes.
Your's was considered something that should be a permanent part of our FAQ, so it was moved to the Newbies FAQ section.. so it would be readily availible.
I thought it was a good idea....we don't 'permanently' freeze that many threads......

The point was not to chase threads through the search feature but to show a cross section that could be immediately helpful. I made the suggestion to lock it and updated it regularly so it is simple but clean. The reason I think it should be in the root of the section is up front and easy to spot. The FAQ (and other sub-sections) could be construed as more mature info and other information beyond what's in the Newbie section for the beginner.
The first two pieces of advice seem to be "read the posts at least a year back" and "drive for an owner first". The latter is easy, the former is a bit daunting for some with limited skills because they may not know what they are looking for. And many times the former may be very time consuming.
By the way, thanks for the info.

I'm sort of an outsider looking in. While I've been an expediter for the last 12 years, I've been doing it by air. My wife an I are planning on buying a Sprinter eventually to do it by ground. We have used this site to educate ourselves. We have gone back over 2 years of previous threads as has been suggested. We have answered many of our concerns. I have also started a few threads to aquire information that I could not find doing searches. It is amazing that so many have given such great answers and advice. We learned of the Expos through this site and went to Wilmington. We enjoyed it very much and enjoyed the great BBQ afterwards. Everyone was willing to answer our sometimes stupid questions. I have also contacted a few of the sponsors of this site. I have also very much enjoyed joining in the BANTER! So for me anyway, EO has been an education and a social outlet. Keep up the good work folks!

I would switch ...
Firefox is good but it has some really serious issues with memory usage and crashing for some, Opera is sometimes a lot faster and then we have Chrome, yippeeeee a Mozilla google spin which seems to work well with most and like Google seems to be plain as jane.
I won't get into the "mac" stuff because I boycott that hardware/os copy cat stuff Nor into that smarta** phone stuff either.

EO is all about selling. Selling you a job in trucking, whether selling a truck you drive as a leased employee of one of EO’s many sponsors or coming on board with a fleet owner that needs a new warm butt for there aging truck fleets.
You have got to know EO is all about the money in the end. COM’on, EO is a .com not a .org.

What is EO all about? It is about Manic posting a single post. He and Sindy were there, so was the "Enemy" and Jenny AND the Layoutshooter and Jan. VERY nice evening. That is 3 expediting couples that we have spent time with since we came home. EO WORKS!!
