What do you eat if you need to drive all night?

The toughest time for me is sunrise. The 30 minute or so transition time for night to day is the hardest time for me.

That's why I try to pace the run so there's always enough time for a nap or a break from fog and other icky conditions. Our natural clocks just don't want to be awake between three and four a.m. I find a 30-45min nap to be the best and only thing to fix that. Sometimes, if I've been running the same shift, I can make it to just before sunrise -especially out west- before needing to stop, but often a jaunt around the truck and some stretching will do the job!

I agree! If I will be driving much after dawn I will pull over and take a short nap. Close my eyes while it is still dark, wake up with the light and trick myself into thinking I slept all night. This works for me, but I am easily fooled.
