What difference does it make to you? Yep your girl Nancy Pelosi.

CHARLOTTE -- Democrats should not shy away from answering the question about whether Americans are "better off" after four years of Barack Obama's presidency, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Monday.
"I think Democrats should welcome that question," Pelosi said during a roundtable meeting with reporters at the Huffington Post Oasis in downtown Charlotte, where convention-goers can stop in for free spa services. "Especially considering the source of who's asking it. Mitt Romney? Mitt Romney? Paul Ryan?"
Originally used by Ronald Reagan against Jimmy Carter in 1980, the question, "are you better off than you were four years ago," has reemerged as a major theme of Republican counter-programming at the Democratic National Convention. During an interview with ABC News Sunday, Obama senior advisor David Plouffe declined to answer the same question, but Pelosi on Monday pushed back against the Republican talking point.
"Our country is better off. Our country is better off than where we were," she said. "President Obama, this extraordinary president in a very extraordinary time pulled our country back from the brink of depression, meltdown of our financial institutions, deepening of our deficit. And in the first two years, three and a half million jobs were created with the Recovery Act. President Obama was a job creator from day one."
She conceded, however, that it was a difficult case to make when faced with an unemployment rate above eight percent, but argued that the economic situation would have been far worse with the Recovery Act.
"We have to think in terms of the country than in each individual person," she said, adding later: "It's a hard sell, and if you don't have a job, what difference does it make to you?"

Nancy and company live in a different world. They never have had to work for a living and by that I mean , the world of 8 to 5, azzhole bosses, getting kids off to daycare, asking time off for vacations, wondering if they can make ends meet on 15,ooo a year, having a an old car that may run if you cross your fingers, being laid off, and so on, nope, when you live in the silverspoon, you never got a chance to live in the average joe world, but maybe I am wrong, imagine that.

I doubt if she ever had to shower in a truck stop, poor thing would be in therapy for a long time.

her problem is clearly defined in her mindset of the statement she made about individuals. there are no individuals only the government collective, waiting to collect from the government.

u r correct, but this group doesnt deem and pass health care, do they?

What he did was what he calls 'turnarounds' with Bain. Other folks call them leveraged buyouts & hostile takeovers, but Romney knows most of us haven't a clue what that involves, really, and probably wouldn't approve if we did. [In complexity, much can be hidden.] He likes to point out how he saved Staples, like low wage & minimum benefit jobs are something to be proud of.
Oh, and he 'rescued' the Olympics too. [With more than a billion dollars from the government to help].
What she does, I don't really know - whatever wealthy women who don't work outside the home do, I guess - lunch? Ride the Cadillacs up & down in the garage elevator? [Ok, that was snarky, sorry, couldn't resist.]
;)
If Ryan believes we're not better off, maybe he should look at how he encouraged Congress to block every initiative Obama proposed, in order to ensure he would serve only one term. It amazes me that they had no shame in saying so either - IMO, that constitutes malfeasance. They were elected to represent their constituents, not the Republican [or the Tea] Party.
Even George W got a chance to screw up, before they started piling on him.

If the party of the R's wins, we can kiss the middle class goodbye, and our future with it, because low paying jobs don't support families, much less a nation.

How will Obama's trillion dollar a year deficit save the middle class? How will continued high taxes to fund Obama's socialist programs save the middle class? How will Obama's shredding the Constitution save the Nation? Knowing that EVERYTHING Obama is doing was tried in Greece, and failed, work here? How is Obama's NOT controlling the border going to save the country? How is his unwillingness to control illegal voting going to save the Nation? Name me ONE thing he has done that has NOT cost us debt and loss of freedom? How is Obama's redistribution of wealth going to save us? When has Marxism ever worked?

As to Ryan stopping everything, GOOD! What excuse did Obama have when he had the house AND senate and they STILL could not pass a budget?

During his presidency Barack Hussein Obama and his liberal Democrat allies have managed to run up a TRILLION additional dollars of debt for each of his years in office. The average household earnings of middle class families has declined about $4500 during his first term. Over 23 MILLION people are out of work putting true unemployment over 11%, homes are being foreclosed at record rates and his socialist-leaning financial mismanagement has resulted in our nation's credit rating being downgraded for the first time ever. Our national debt is greater than our GDP for the first time since WW2 even with interest rates being close to zero. Think how that's going to grow when interest rates are allowed to rise back to normal rates; it's no wonder many analysts are convinced our next generations will have a lower standard of living than what their parents and grandparents have enjoyed. All this thanks to the governing policies of liberal elitists who have never had to actually earn a living.

What LOS and Pilgim said. Food and electric prices are rising. Fuel prices are also sky high. Our energy policy is a rediculous joke. We should be extracting every ounce of energy we can out of the ground, but we're not because this administration doesn't want to.

Oh...Cheri....(I think that is a song?)
Where does one start? In the grand scheme of things, what Romney did business wise matters little to the middle class other than the methods used when or if he is president. As for his wife, I see little difference with her "romping with the weathy" and Michelle Obama jetsetting around the globe for all her vacations. Only difference is Michelle does it on the taxpayers dime and Ann Romney uses her own money.

The reality is the poor and middle class are going to get pounded regardless of who is president. With Romney it will come through government cuts to programs that aren't sustainable and the ones that pay no tax, the poor, illegals, will be the first to feel those impacts.

With Obama those same people will get hurt through inflation and reckless spending. Bad news is, for a much longer period of time. You are already seeing it. Look at food, gas, housing, healthcare, and shrinking wages.
Sending billions to Brazil so they can drill for oil to sell back to us is a bad idea just to name one. Same with all the foreign aid we keep sending everywhere. Add in Obamacare, Solyndra, and all the wasted stimulus money, you are creating debt that we will struggle with for a long time. Add all that to that 16T dollar debt, and the poor or middle class will be paying the price. Especially since every citizen now owes 67,000 towards the debt. Every time we borrow and print money, guess who is getting hit the hardest from that? Financing two wars that both parties supported didn't help, but is quickly becoming a drop in the bucket compared to the overall debt and what we are currently spending.
Watching clips of the DNC convention has me laughing. Everything mentioned was a government program. WE HAVE NO MONEY. Anything spent is borrowed money that the next generation will be saddled with. Sure hope people start waking up.

Only difference I see is Romney & Ryan aren't selling any new programs and are telling you they are going to axe numerous programs and cut some taxes. WIth Obama, it's more spending and pandering on a slew of things that we have no money for.
