I am thinking this is only the first wave. Many companies will use that collected data for competitive reasons.
Could certainly get messy.
The lawsuits from individuals will of course follow soon. What is currently there lacks mechanisms to challenge and or change anything that is reported incorrectly.
Another batch of government regulations that cause more problems than it actually solves.
No surprise really.

CSA 2010 has far too many issues that need to be resolved. It is simply no where near ready for public consumption. It also goes back to the simple fact that the FMCSA's job is to ensure that a company if fit to operate and is properly insured or not.

I am extremely proud as the VP of TEANA that we are taking this action. A number of states trucking association have already broken ranks with the ATA on this issue and are joining the fight.

I went thru a road side inspection on Tuesday on rt 30 outside Massillon Ohio.I was written for air leak but also said no loss of air pressure.Took truck to garage to have repaired instead of stay in service.Their was no air leak, what he heard was the EGR system putting air iinto the exhaust system.Officer said I didnt have to send any receipts for repair, but,Tri State wanted a receipt for repairs

And this writeup will be assigned points under CSA 2010.

More carriers should leave the ATA altogether . The ATA's agenda is to benefit carriers with thousands of trucks and make it impossible for smaller carriers to compete .
EOBR's are a good example . How many small carriers can bear that expense ?

TEANA was disappointed with the stance the ATA took on CSA2010 release. The safety committee of the ATA voted to oppose the release, but the executive board chose not to accept their own committees recommendation???

This is why we are joining the legal fight against this!

Is your carrier a TEANA carrier????

Well the stay was not granted. So now the whole thing will end up in a trial.
