Welfare for the deceased

If being fingerprinted for welfare isn't "humiliating", then do it for corporate welfare recipients, too. And be just as diligent in looking for fraud as with the less fortunate - more, even, because there's a whole lot more $ to be gained.
Fraud exists in every system - but when it comes to welfare, the greatest amount of fraud is not perpetrated by the people who get benefits. All the conservatives efforts to prove otherwise have failed, but they'll keep trying, because they cannot admit to being wrong.
Florida drug tested welfare applicants, and the end result was it cost them money, so how many other right wing governors decided to do it too? Crazy people!!!

Bring on the forensic accountants and throw cheats under the jail regardless of which system they are involved with. I have no problem saying get rid of the cheats across the board. It's the left that can't stand the thought of reform to the individual welfare system. There's always a deflection to the big bad corporate group and an attempt to make anyone unwilling to write blank checks to individuals feel in the wrong. There's never agreement that that fraud and waste is just as wrong as any other and should be eliminated.

Let's be honest: the left is sick of yet more reform. "Welfare" [generally Temporary Aid to Needy Families and food stamps] has been 'reformed' numerous times over the past 2 decade, partly by the Feds, mostly by the states.. Eligibility has tightened up, benefits cut, lifetime caps put in place, [all with no alternative in place for people, just "get a job"]. The poor have taken the hits again and again and again, because: they're politically powerless. And they can't afford attorneys, either. They've been beat up enough already, but the Republicans can always kick them one more time.
So, how many Fed & state initiatives have been aimed at finding the fraud committed by service providers, billed to the taxpayers? How much public notice does that get? How many rants on Facebook? How many memes?
Republicans forced spending cuts and 'sequesters' years ago, but they keep finding ways to fund the Defense Dept. They don't have the same enthusiasm for our infrastructure, or education, [except they do like vouchers, so kids can be sent to private schools, or homeschooled], or protecting consumers from the predatory greed of Wall Street. They can't even find money to raise the pay of the soldiers and vets they're always praising [many of whom are eligible for food stamps!], but they find money for new jets and techno toys galore.
They prove who really matters in the budgetary debate, time after time.

Sorry, but fraud isn't "just as bad" in one group as another. It's worse in the case of well off individuals, who have the advantages of education and a decent income - they should be held to higher standards. As should our elected leaders.
In America, the well off get off, while the poor get screwed.

More of the ideas of the left that something can be less illegal depending on who commits the crime and that feelings enter into the equation.
