Dropped the crappy ford off at the Doctor this morning, new alternator, Belt, Oil change, fix a slow leak in a tire and rotate said tires, 607.00 bucks, what was ford thinking when they made a 400.00 Alternator$$
I fixed it for you. I swapped out the two question marks for dollar signs. Now you know what Ford was thinking.

No, the point isn't moot. Your ½ hotdog isn't free and neither is your left nut.
Well it isn't costing me $.30 a gallon more
You know it is Canadian law at age 40 all males must be sterilized or you're not qualified for the free healthcare ?

It's a first for me. I guess it's the same alt as they use for ambulances. Like I have that many accessories running
Its nice to have a defibrillator onboard and an alternator that can handle it. Especially when you get offered a 1500 mile load at a $1.90/mile and you flat-line.

I don't believe I have ever seen that large of price disparity between Flying Pilot and Speedway in the same locations. I buy gasoline though, not diesel. Enjoy your savings, ½ hot dog and left nut.:)
The spread between the two is quite often different in many states...last month I can't remember what state it was it was like a $.39 differenceand if you multiply that by the 28 yeah it's required for a free shower well it's no free shower:p
The old adage nothing is free

You must have a newer van...i remember the diesel alt started at over 800 cdn but by the time the van was over 5 years old it dropped to a couple hundred...I always carry a spare, bet you could find a comparable quality for 200...O'Reillys import direct brand shocked me, still have a 400,000 mile plus one on the Ram Van

You've got a great quality unit, but I too wish ford would be more reasonable, and every other dealer...man it would be so nice to have somebody work on my van for a change

The crappy ford is a 2009. I pay for somebody to fix it I just don't have the patience to do it anymore. Now my Corvette and Chevelle I do the work on it, even Mrs. Fast will work on them.
