Weather reports usually change every 10 - 12 hours.. don't let this scare you from doing a job or taking a run.

You know weather has never played that desicion with me if the weather is good where I'm at. If I get the load on my truck. I'm.gonna get paid. I get into the load the weather worsens. I stop. Its the drivers job to be safe. Those who lets the company determine what is safe is foolish. Being late because of safety concerns are legitimate reasons for tardiness.

Pretty much the standard in the Industry..Priority is to get the freight on the truck,,Worry about the tow truck later.
This snow event shouldn't be enough to shut anyone down unless the 4wheels or a few super truckers that feel they can do anything get involved with ya.
I check weather on each load in all directions when possible.Rain sunshine day or night.

I expect not to do much tonight, simply because both of the airports are closed. So much of the freight I have to deal with seems to have aircraft mixed into the deal somewhere and right now, the only thing with wings that's flying also has feathers.

If I do get a call, though-- I'll go out, but take it easy because of the weather.

Since I am stuck at home for at least another week I decided to checked my local weather forecast. For the next 5 days, highs around 80 and lows around 50.:)
I think I'll wash the truck this weekend.
