If an operation has to punish you to force you to take marginal loads I see little upside to the operation.
Unless you're happy with marginal results.
YOU should decide when a marginal load works for YOU. Not run them because you are forced to.
As far as being managed. I came into expediting with tons of trucking knowledge and experience. I sought out a situation where I was managed so I could learn from someone else's experience.
I wanted to be profitable as possible from day one. I did not want to waste my time/money while I made rookie mistakes.
