Water leak between cab and sleeper

I have a T-300 with a Bentz sleeper it is leaking water between the cab and sleeper. I think there may be some cracks in the boot, is there some type of silicon I can put on it or does the boot need to be replaced? Where can I get this fixed or can I fix it myself? How much does it cost to get the boot replaced? Any input would be helpful.

Thanks
Todd

Most of it will depend on how bad the leak is. Waterproof rubberized cement may work if it is a small spot and not a seam. Bentz would be the obvious place, but and KW or Pete dealer could replace it once they had the replacement boot. They aren't too hard to replace. If doing it yourself, a couple of hours should do it.
Cost to replace is two hours of labor, and I am quessing at $100.00 for the boot.

You better check on that repalcement cost. We were told around $900 to replace our boot from Alumijunk.

We tried many times to repair ours,if its old replace it, other wise it will the problem that will never go away.

My other truck, we replaced it thru Bentz right around $300.00 its not as easy as it appears to look either. A good friend of mine also just replaced his, they last for about 5 years. Once they begin to leak you really not need to waist any more effort, take it in and get it taken care of, truck wash will open the patch back open again.

Just nature of the beast.

I will check with my friend tonight when I talk to him if I am incorrect I will post the correct amount but I am pretty sure I am with in $50.

Talked to Bentz in Ft. Wayne In. and they said it was $411.00 installed. Now I just need to get my truck into the area, it is in Laredo.

The cost of just the boot alone is around $180.00

Thanks For all the info

IF YOU ARE EVER AROUND FT WAYNE, IN THERE IS A SHOP THERE THAT PUTS IN NEW BOOTS AND THEY ARE MORE THAN $100 THEY ARE AROUND $500 AND UP. BUT THEY WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT IT FIRST. BUT WORD OF ADVICE. IF YOU DO HAVE IT REPLACED MAKE SURE THEY RUN WATER OVER IT TO MAKE SURE IT DOESNT LEAK. I HAD ONE REPLACED AND IT STILL LEAKED AND THEY HAD TO FIX IT AGAIN.
