I'm with JJ - if we get outraged over every remark that includes stereotypes, or perceived prejudices, we'd be bogged down in recriminations all the time. (No more blonde jokes, or disparaging references to mothers in law, either!)
Sometimes you feel the need to speak up, but Wallytrucker & TennesseeHawk's remarks didn't reach that level, IMO.
I just noticed that in Laredo, even the stop signs now include a translation in Spanish, and I am outraged about that. Accommodating the language and customs of every immigrant group that chooses to come here, is a very bad idea, IMO. I welcome the diversity, but they need to adapt to our culture, not vice versa.
