Washer Fluid / Safety

Just a quick note for a safe winter ride: For those of you who have not tried the Rain-X De-Icer windshield washer fluid, Try it out! This stuff will not freeze, will actually de-ice those nasty FL-70 windshields (those of you with an FL-70 feel free to smile now) and leave you with some Rain-X treatment as a bonus. It's expensive at $2.50 to $3.00 per gallon but is a necessity this winter.

This is the best product I've used yet. Yesterday, at 7 deg F upon startup, This washer fluid flowed freely. No glaze on a cold windshield either. All other USA fluids I've used couldn't meet their temp claims. Mainly because my fluid hoses are exposed to the elements and even the -25 blue stuff would slush-up in the hoses. My kudos to Rain-X

I've found that a 50/50 cut with better 'blue' juice will still bring the benefits of the Rainx.

Another good winter product is Prestone's yellow washer fluid, similar product without the sheeting agent.

Yes This is a great product. I have used it for many years. Just got some the other day at Murrays Auto Stores in Michigan. $2.00 a Gal. Don't know how long the sale will be. Drive Safely...Butch :D :D :D
