Want to get back driving

Hello All,

My name is Ray and this is my situation. In 2005 I got my CDL and drove tractor trailers over the road for 9 months. New driver pay would not allow me to keep up with all my bills. I have been working in Kuwait for the past 4 years as a security contractor. All bills are paid off and I have a nice nest egg.

I would like to get into expediting. Although I still have a Class A CDL I have been away for a long time. I would like to hook up with a experienced stright truck driver that needs a team member. A driver that doesn't mind teaching the ends and outs of expediting.

I am under contract in Kuwait until the end of September and would like to start driving again in October. Any advise????

I have passport. No moving violation in the past 32 years and no accidents in the past 6 years and of course no arrest ever.

My suggestion would be when you get closer to getting out from under that contract start talking to some fleet owners. Check out the classifieds here and you can also put your own ad own there and explain your situation. Good luck.

You might also call recruiters at the companies you are interested in and ask if they have a list of owners looking for a team member.
