A New York trucker remains in custody in Canada after a gamma-ray examination of his vehicle revealed a passenger he had failed to report.
Francis G. Sega, 55, of Richmondville NY, is jailed in Brockville, Ontario, charged with Failing to Report a Passenger and Misrepresentation.

The passenger, found sleeping in the cab of the truck by Canada Border Services Agency Officers after being identified during the gamma-ray scan, was deemed inadmissible to Canada and returned to the USA.

Canadian authorities say Sega had declared he was traveling alone when he presented himself at the primary inspection booth on Thursday morning.

Sega will remain in detention in Brockville until a court appearance scheduled for August 17th.

Unfortunately this person is now inadmissible to Canada. He/she must apply for a permit to enter and since it is recent, the chances are not very good for approval. It can take 8 - 10 months for processing and would only be valid for one year.
