Ok listen up newbies heres some tidbit of info I've learned to save a buck or two!

Crossing at Fort Erie or Lewiston entering Canada: I always try to have a Canadian $10 bill and hand it over to the toll bridge operator and say nothing, sometimes they'll charge you the $7.00 and sometimes they'll charge you car rate of $3.50!
Port Huron entering Canada: If the auto lane is working a toonie in the bucket some try to charge the $2.50 and if you say your under a one ton it's only $2.00!
Those people don't know a OneT from a 3/4T!
Sarnia entering U.S: Left lanes! automatic gate $2.50...Sometimes they have a guy or girl there and make you go other lane cuz it's $5.50 for a commercial vehicle.
Detriot and Windsor: Always give a $5.00 bill never exact change since it's $4.25 for vans if they've run out of .25's they'll only charge you $4.00!
Call me cheap but I work too hard for my money!*LOL*

All funds quoted in Canadian dollars!

Thanks for the tips Van Man.

Picked up a load in my cargo van wednesday in Tennessee going to
the Chrysler plant on Windsor. Had no problem gettimg into Canada. All
paperwork and everything in order.
After unloading, headed back to border, very long line of vehicles,
took a little over three hours to get across.

Do you have the same problem getting into the US. Just wondering, sure does make the old stress level go up.

Thanks...if you were empty you could cut through the Duty Free and then switch to truck lane at the first opportune moment the TT's always leave big spaces ( I look for an Orange Pumpkin to cut in front try to avoid them southern boys they carry bigger sticks! -LOL-)or if the car lanes are better choice just tell them you were across for pleasure..either way works!
If both are very long back to a few lights You can go around block on your left and come out at College where Thompsons or Macdonalds is Theres room at the intersection taking the left for one van and your not blocking the intersection.
