A Sprinter, Promaster or Transit are all excellent for expediting, but they are all going to be expensive to maintain and repair. Find a good dealer whom you can trust for honest repairs, and that will let you supply your own parts and fluids. Find a good non-dealer mechanic who will do the same thing, for times when you have just regular repair work that doesn't require a mechanic specifically trained in that vehicle (for example, you don't need to be a trained Sprinter tech to replace brake pads and rotors). Learn as much about the vehicle as you can from forums specific to that vehicle, learn what has gone wrong and what could go wrong, and how to fix it (even if you can't fix it yourself - you'll at least sound intelligent, and be less likely to get hosed with a misdiagnosis by the mechanic). Learn the maintenance schedules and follow them. Set back a percentage of your gross revenue for maintenance and repair, cause there is no getting around it. You'll put 5 years of mileage on the vehicle every year, so you'll be doing 5 years worth of maintenance every year. You'll change the oil and filter every 6 weeks or so, so learning how to do that yourself is at the top of the list (right below getting a Fomoto Drain valve).
