it's ugly but I would run the van heck a earl scheib $300 paint job in white can do a miracle for that van .

This van also has a emergency switch that will kill the motor if you try to put it in gear when the motor is running. This is a great feature!

Huh?

Well if you had the interlock override then if you go into a truck stop you can leave your van running so nobody drives off in it like what happened to the guy a couple months ago.

But Seriously this van could make someone some money if it runs and drives good. heck a cv with a 60" or a lil higher clearance could pay itself off in 1 month easily. who cares about the color the van looks clean and not rusted out and solid. plus you could sell lift for $500 or maybe more and then sell taxi meter also. or use meter to charge for freight rates.

Peel off the cab decals and it would be a perfect van if Schneider had an expediter division.

At the end of the day as long as the freight is moved and the van is safe and road worthy and not a total eye sore with dents and broken up parts and not rusted out. Why wouldn't a van like this work. you can insulate the windows so nobody can see in and then you will also have rear heat and ac. Honestly if I didn't have a van and wanted into this industry I would drive this van happily for sure who cares about bright orange. Heck I see many old ugly yellow box vans all over the place and they get freight.

Several years ago Motorcraft ran an ad with the tagline: "Taxi tested tough." The implication was that taxis got the snot driven out of them. Stop and go city traffic, extended idling and multiple drivers took their toll on engine parts. I personally would not buy a van with over 100,000 taxi tested tough miles on it, especially one that spent it's youth in a rental fleet.

The small bus vans are generally low miles, are usually the LWB version and have the raised roofs, so are excellent buys. I don't see having the windows as a problem, just board up the inside. But, oh-my it is fugly. As Moot points out, look for signs of taxi abuse.
