The Freightliner dealer that I use has a 2000 FL 70 with the Alum Bunk High Rise 72 inch Sleeper that was repoed from the owner who went bankrupt. They want $25 K for it you could probably get it for 22-23K,as they have had it since last October. It has a Cat engine,Fuller 6 speed ,204,000 miles and NO WARRANTY,but I believe the Cat engines have a 250,000 mile warranty. Body wise it!s in good shape and i have thought about it for myself as my 96 FL 70 has 575,000 on it with no warranty,But the Cat engine scares me somewhat as you hear that it!s a 400-500,000 mile engine if you are lucky. If interested let me know and I can put you in touch with the dealer..

I don't know what price range your looking at. But the Western Star dealer in Red Lion,Pa (Rivers Truck Center) Has a real nice Sterling on their lot. Been there about a year now. They really don't deal much with Expedite trucks. But Sterling passed this truck onto them to sell. To give you a little info on this truck. It is brand new. Not 100% sure, but I think its a 2000 model. Sterling had this truck on the truck show circuit and then it went to this dealer to sell. It is really loaded up nice. Truck is black w/ factory stand up sleeper. Has graphics on cab and sleeper. Has interior that is awesome. Wood grain dash, dual power seats, power windows and locks,am/fm/cassette,jake brake, tilt wheel, fog lights, alum wheels, fully automatic trans,250 mercedes engine, 35k gvw,15k steer axle,20k drive Someone looking for a nice truck I think could get a hell of a deal on this truck. I think they would just like to move it from their inventory. Like I said they really don't deal with expedites. Its a hell of a truck!!!

I recently bought a used truck and will share some info with you.

It is my understanding that the larger Freightliner dealers "store" reposessed trucks for Mercedes Finance. They only make a couple of hundred dollars off of the sale and you bid directly to Mercedes.
(I do not believe they are financing expeditor trucks at this time.) It's a process that has worked for me. My suggestion would be to call the larger dealers in Western PA or in Ohio and find out if they have any trucks they are storing for Mercedes. If you decide to put in a price, find out from the salesman if and how much the dealer offered - and what the dealer felt needed to be repaired on the truck. Buying a repo is a dangerous business, but there are good deals out there if you do your homework.
