Yeah, the holiday weekend is approaching so fast that if this message isn't sent out first thing this morning that darn holiday will be on us like a super single on pavement. Thanks for wishing me a Happy Holiday in such a timely manner.
This year sure is unique with the holiday falling on a Sunday. Last year it came on a Saturday. Next year it will fall on a Mo... Tuesday. That wacky leap year sure can mess up a perfectly obvious pattern. You want unique? I got your unique right here; the holiday falls on a Sunday... IN JULY!
Six or seven years ago I posted a rant about Con-Way Now and their new safety director sending out early morning fleet messages. I admitted in that post as I do here, there is no ideal time to send out fleet messages that won't interfere with someone's sleep. But there is time when a fleet message will be less disruptive to the majority of the fleet. May I suggest between 15:00 and 17:00. I believe the person who sent this message is new, I don't recall seeing the name attached to other messages and probably doesn't realize that expedite drivers generally don't work 9 to 5. If the holiday you referred to in your fleet message that falls on a Sunday this year, is Christmas, then Merry Christmas to you! If it is another holiday then, Happy Holiday To You!
