UPS Linehaul

You start a thread on UPS and now you're talking UPS Freight.

That's like starting a thread about ABF to discuss Panther.

UPS Freight does a lot of expedite from their terminals, mainly because they can't get it delivered in time. Also, because they don't want to send a whole truck and trailer out to BFE for just one or two skids.

Report it to a moderator and maybe this thread will get locked again.

UPS Freight O/Os are non-union.

When I was a Teamster O/O I was required to be an employee. At full rate and benefits.
I got a w-2 for wages. Any extra money owed was paid on a rent check, to rent my truck. This was 1099'd.
It was sweet.

I have no idea what the arrangement is, but if UPS Freight was Union O/O I'd probably be there just about ready to collect my 30 year pension.

I would guess they agreed that a certain % of loads could remain pulled by ICs.

Thank you Zorry. I wish I would have read your post prior to retiring last night. I'm sure I would have slept better knowing all about the O/Os at UPS FREIGHT.

Just trying to get everyone on same page.
Would hate to have you go through the trauma of being locked again.
You'll sleep better tonight.

I was on the short list recently.
When I told them I would never suppress freedom of speech by locking a thread, they told me I wasn't qualified.
