They pulled me over several times when I had no signs on my van... since I use them, I had no more problems with them. ..

Thanks. I might have to do just that.

What were the reasons for the four
stops, You did ask them why they pulled you over.
Having a marked van is one of the
reasons why I decided to go to work for one of the larger companies. I don't get messed with by the police and my pay is always on time. I couldn't see paying 6k a year for cargo insurance just to make 85 cents per mile. I'm making about a buck a mile here at Panther. The saying goes "the bigger the better" lol.
I had a set of magnetic signs made.
Cost about $125 for the pair, and it ends a lot of "unmarked van" problems before they get started. On the occasions where the signs might create problems-- when I'm on my own time, personal use-- the signs come down and stow inside easy enough.
Usually they tell me. You ran over the white line(cross winds); your speed is inconsistent (I'm on the hills); you fit characteristic of driver's fatique (Darn! Didn't comb my hair).
Of course I didn't tell them all of those reasons in the parentheses. I am very cooperative and I let them do all the askings. Its make the process smoother.
I do however, have to say that these officers are very courteous and polite. I thanks them for doing their jobs....but please no more pull over the unmarked white cargo van from California, lol.
Typo = Shop around
Since your not a commercial vehicle the fatigue pull over is surprising to me. What could they do in the first place, personal vehicles almost always drive that way when traveling.
Thanks! Do you have a contact info on the magnetic sign?
And THAT was $125?!?! Wow!!
What a rip. Quick, but a rip.
I imagine there is some law in there somewhere that gives the officer the latitude to pull your plate right there.."for operating a vehicle in an unsafe manner"
