Just saw these north of Flint at a Micky Ds. No markings but I think there the new Dodge vans.

My personal obsevation is telling me the front end on these things is butt ugly!!!.......

These are front wheel drive, right? And if so, say we have a 2-3,000# load on. In the winter time, what are the chances of the front wheel drive not being able to get enough traction to pull the vehicle because of the majority of the weight being in the rear, or closer to the rear wheels?....

Just a thought.

Drive in reverse might fix both the traction & butt ugly front problem??

They've sold almost 5 million of them in Europe. It snows there.

Seems to work on tractor tailors with most the weight behind the drive wheels. Might be different but that comes to mind. I personly like the fwd idea.

Me too. I don't know that I want one of these vans, but fwd is not what would keep me away. I would wait to see how good of a job they do with parts availability.

My outlook on a work vehicle is that it's just that, a work vehicle, and how good it looks would not be as huge a factor as a personal vehicle might. But, wow, that's just a God-awful level of ugly.

If you look at the bumper it has a current Dodge grille sort of look to it. It is a fairly ugly looking front end alright. It's not so absolutely ugly it's a deal breaker. It isn't quite as ugly from the driver's seat.

Actually on a 5 axle tractor-trailer when fully loaded, 58 % of the weight is on the tractor.

As far as that van goes, with the rear axle right near the back and a set back front axle, weight distribution should be very even. I doubt that FWD will be a negative.
