The 2nd Amendment under seige again: Hillary and Barry are supporting this: just read at, UN Arms Trade Treaty.

The Dumb-O-Crats have long supported this. So have many ReBumLiCans. Our government has no use for our Constitution. Kinda makes you wonder why we ever served, eh? I mean, really, I see NO difference between this crowd and those we fought. Evil is evil.

Of course they are and they should be dealt with like any other treasonous individual. They care nothing about the Constitution, only about their own desires.

Get your feathers ruffled, the 2nd won't be circumvented by a treaty.

Nope, it will be circumvented by OUR GOVERNMENT who will USE this treaty, if put into effect, as an excuse to do away with or greatly control private firearms ownership. That has long been the goal of the extreme left and right. Armed citizens are a threat to the power they wish to wield. Just as Obama care will be used for the same thing.

God, doesn't anyone read the news. The state of Texas was sued by the Bush administration where the SC said, too bad treaties do not apply to states.

Then around that time, there was a landmark decision about guns and cities/states which also apply to it.

BUT maybe you haven't read that the SC is actually made up of a lot of constitutionalist which seem to adhere to the thing, which means that if this would go to court, or I should just say when, it will be struck down again.

Treaties do not circumvent rights, no matter what some say.

Obama care used for what?

Take guns away?

Sorry this isn't england.

if we sit around and wait to see if they can .it will be to late .

too late for what?

The UN isn't a country, it is an entity which we allow to exist. It can not take over our country, it can't do much of anything without our permission and treaties do not circumvent the constitution, especially those which are not ratified by our senate.

just like with hilter if people would of stood up at the beginning WW2 may have never happened .

Really?

People who make this comment either do not know the history of the conflict or understand much of it.

What could have been done?

Give it time. I have FAITH in these evil people. They WILL try to take away our guns. That is the first thing that they MUST accomplish to do away with our Constitution and take over the People, which IS their goal.

Lets start over: Any treaty must be ratified by 2/3's of the US Senate. 51 senators have signed letters to Obama and Secretary of State H. Clinton opposing the treaty's terms.

IMHO this whole idea of messing with our constitution is treason in its worst form by Obama and Hillary. If Obama and Hillary will try this, whats next, our Freedom of Speech, Press, and so on will be in jeopardy. The idea is insane and is a Benedict Arnold moment by Obama and Hillary. IMHO

ONLY 51 signed that letter? That is NOT good! It SHOULD have been all 100. Guess it means NOTHING to them when THEY take an oath. We KNOW that is the case with Obama and BOTH Clinton's.

Oh leave 'em alone greg. Let them believe a treaty can take away our Constitutional rights and if they don't do something about it nobody else will. Let them have their little fantasy of gathering up their guns and ammo and storming the streets of Washington D.C. for a good 'ole fashion revolution.

We don't need treaties for the erosion of our constitutional rights. Our own government is doing a fine job of ensuring that outcome.

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .."

##### ONe thing is for sure in here now, many of us are reading the Constitution and thats a good thiing, sure knocks down a lot of he said, she said. Just quote what part u need from the Constitution or copy and paste.............
encyclopedia

Wikiquote has a collection of quotations related to: Martin Niemöller

"First they came…" is a famous statement attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group. The text of the quotation is usually presented roughly as follows:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me

55 million dead in WW2, 6million were Jews, estimates mine.

so you saying they cant make a new law that say they can do it .

Yep it can be that way if we let them but at this point, we are not doing that, so you can relax a bit.

We can start by educating people, and those who want to remain ignorant, ship them off to say Cuba or Mexico.

if you think about it the same things happened then as it is now . they drank the koolaid . made excuess . said that the laws wont allow them to do that .

I thought about it and ... nope nothing like what happened is happening here - it can't for a lot of reasons.

you maybe the one that doesnt understamd .

NOPE I understand, maybe clearer than most here. I see the cause and effect that our path for the fight for democracy has given us, the results of us acting as if we were a democracy and more or less the mindset that was prevalent in both Europe and the US in the first 40 years of the 20th century. I think most miss a lot of that when they tend to believe the history books or some revised history or worse yet some fictional historical movie or book.

If you don't want to repeat the past, learn what happened in detail.

hitler took charge and to build the camps . all of that ONLY took overnight to happen .

Well hate to break the news to you but what he did wasn't new nor wasn't a secret. He did what the english did, he did what the Soviets did and he did what the US did, and it didn't happen overnight. Mao may have beat out Stalin in the use of camps but again we don't see them here, regardless what people seem to come up with.

If you want to know more, start with the Russians and the progroms of the mid-19th century used to "control" the Russian Jewish population, then to the Boer war and how the english used camps, then look at the Soviets and their food program camps, then the Gulags (Applebaum's book is a good start) then look at the political camps of the german Weirmar republic and so on. If you want something closer to home, try the plight of the Indian in the American west from 1850 to 1920.

i understand hitler lied ,cheated, killed to get to that postion .

Well not exactly, he was elected, I don't think he cheated, he killed to expand his power within his party but overall the average citizen wasn't in the position to worry about it because they needed to work and the economy was screwed up. The way their constitution was setup was near a true democracy then ours so maybe that has something to do with it??

keep sitting around and making excuess . i am so glad Ben F.and George W. didnt sit around

What does Ben F Benake and George W Bush have to do with things?

You implying I am sitting around?

Well what have you been doing?

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .."

I like the one that says the people can directly vote for their senator, talk about screwing up states rights.

Hey did you ever hear about the constitutional convention clause?

and what makes you so sure

We can start by educating people, and those who want to remain ignorant, ship them off to say Cuba or Mexico.
. ok educated us ignorant people . in the way YOU believe it should be .

I thought about it and ... nope nothing like what happened is happening here - it can't for a lot of reasons.
are you sure you arent the ignorant one and needs to be educated. because i bet they said that before . and guess what it happened again

NOPE I understand, maybe clearer than most here. did you sleep in a Holiday Inn last night . for you understand it clearer then most . and i ask are you sure

so you are saying what has happened in the past is OK .
just because i JUST used hitler didnt mean he was the only one . so i dont need you to give me a history lesson .

Well not exactly, he was elected, I don't think he cheated, he killed to expand his power within his party but overall the average citizen wasn't in the position to worry about it because they needed to work and the economy was screwed up.
you dont think he cheated . but you know after he was elected he killed to expand .

WHAT IT CANT HAPPEN TODAY . our economy is doing fine right now . and we dont have people looking for work today either . all i got to say is who is the one that needs educated and is being the ignorant one

What does Ben F Benake and George W Bush have to do with things?
agian you call others ignorant .
You implying I am sitting around?
yes i am becuse you are just like what was posted earlier about "First they came"

Well what have you been doing?
texting pictures of my weiner . useing taxpayer dollars to rebuild my freinds house . bulling the homeless people . forceing the small business to pay me protaction

I like the one that says the people can directly vote for their senator, talk about screwing up states rights.

Hey did you ever hear about the constitutional convention clause?
explain it to me .
