Unified effort

How about a UNIFIED voice. As I read thru fx wart and its sequel, I am impressed both by the pettiness of some issues and the conviction of the authors in all of them. I have been with the FED for 7 years total...4 at express and 3 at CC and agree CC has a lot of room to improve. However I was reminded by a senior CC member of Disney's management pholosophy....keep them all upset and they will be more productive....one major wart that seems to have missed the radar scope is the selective dispatching which favors a certain fleet owner and family members of employees...by sharing events with several other drivers like ETA LOCKS and mystery dispatches, we have discovered (not concluded, but actually discovered) selective dispatch activity...and no the new load opportunity dosen't prevent it. Warts will always exit in any company and this forum is a good example of how not to deal with it...so please adjust your talents to bring unity to help the FED get back on the proper course. I feel genuinelly sorry for some of the dispatchers and employyes in Ohio for they are having to endure much abuse with most of them walking on those perverbial egg shells:rolleyes:

PS: In all this imformation is useful here and thanks mayfield for the 55...I hope I never need it.

I haven't commented because I have no experience with FedEx - but the "Disney management philosophy" sounds to me like the dumbest, most counterproductive idea I've heard in a long time.
And unity seems to be the goal already, at least in the sense that some things could be done better than they currently are. Unity on practically any other point is probably "mission impossible" IMO.

Very good Post and I hope you never have to use it. Your post does got me thinking about the new system that FedEx rolled out. It kinda takes away the power the drivers did have, if you think about it.

But Missie, Disney didn't get successful by being touchy feeley ya know. The real problem is - - the folks you work with won't let ya be nice to them. Human nature.

One of the worst complaints Ive heard about some carriers is the "petty" Stop charge...a driver pulls into plant 3...but the load is across the street Plant 1...driver wants a stop charge....good way to push customers away...

It's a way good point easy. And a demand like that is ONLY the tip of the iceberg with many. Many just can't be happy having a good load and getting it done. It's hard to decifer if it is a demand or a "try", but it's still **** aggrivating.
