Two questions..Chicken coops and inspections

I just started again driving expedite after 3 years doing other things. I've noticed that most vans and Sprinters do not have annual inspection stickers on their doors. Is that just a carrier requirement?

When I ran expedite before in a cargo van,I only ran into chicken coops with the sign saying Commercial Vehicles, basically Kentucky,Alabama and West Virginia. I now drive a Sprinter 2500,and was wondering if I need to pull into a scale at all? I have talked with 3 others drivers this weekend, and they bypass all scales. Thank you

While I have DOT inspection each yr and the sticker is in plain site, it is a company requirement...not a DOT requirement....and i don't scale at all.....i now do pass through the "Ag" stations in FLA though.....

I had the annual Inspection, I always just put the sticker on the inside of the rear door, never had any problems with that, as for scales just read the signs if no weight limits are posted and it says ALL COMMERCIL VEHICLES MUST SCALE, then I cross the scales only once has anybody said anything to me and he just said I didn't need to do that at his scale.I've been weighed with a set of portables in Indiana once.where I ended up being 10 pounds over weight,

The only coop I've went into is entering Wyoming...If you are delivering within the state even a cargo van must go and they record you....if you are passing thru...no need to go in.
