Please explain TVAL W/G. It isn 't clear to me yet. I hope it isn't that obvious. I'm still alive so I'm still learning.

A truck does not need to be reefer-equipped to be a White Glove truck. A lift gate is required, as is freight-handling equipment like a pallet jack, furniture pads, specified rows of E-Trac, etc. A Custom Critical recruiter can provide you with the current requirements for your truck type and size.

The FedEx Custom Critical service menu can be viewed at:

The Surface Expedite Exclusive Use and White Glove Services(r) links will be of greatest interest to expediters.

A FedEx TVAL truck is a White Glove Truck that is fully equipped with all W/G requirements, gear and a reefer but, the reefer has to go thru special stringent test to become TVAL qualified therefore not all W/G reefers are TVAL. TVAL is a step up from just being a reefer. Not all reefers can meet the requirements and some people just don’t want to go thru all the testing to become qualified.

I hope this answers your question with out sounding redundant.
