Agreed - and in TV land, ratings are everything. It will be easy to compare ratings of the hour Carlson had with those of his successor(s), but that's not finances, that's ratings.
When Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly left Fox they didn't have near the ratings and audience size Carlson has now.Another question is how will Carlson do on whatever platform he joins or starts? While it is highly likely that he will resurface again after any no-compete contract obligations are fulfilled, we'll have to wait to see how well he does. It is noteworthy that every big name that parted with Fox and and surfaced elsewhere ended up with nowhere near the audience size and public influence they had at Fox.
Good question; maybe someday we'll find out. Right now it looks like a really bad decision by Fox management.Fox Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch certainly knew that when he weighed the pros and cons of firing Carlson. What does a guy with the largest audience on cable and the big advertising revenues he produced have to do to earn the surprise pink slip he earned?
Megyn Kelly lost her popularity after the controversy with Trump at the debate. She left on her own terms and wasn’t popular at NBC because their audience caters to the Left.Agreed - and in TV land, ratings are everything.

He got fired because he did everything right? No need for him to apologize. He did nothing wrong.
I don't know if any former or current Fox personality had/has the ratings Carlson did. But it will be interesting to see if the dynamic is the same. Based on the history of Fox personalities who left, I think it is highly unlikely that wherever Carlson ends up, he'll have 3 million viewers again. He may surprise me. We'll see.Agreed - and in TV land, ratings are everything.

A mass exodus to where? But letting go of the leading conservative voice at the pinnacle of his success will see a mass exodus unlikely to return.
He’s already receiving multi million dollar offers. He has a no compete clause if he wants to continue to be paid by Fox News. 1.6 million per month. Look for him to take some time off and then take an offer he can’t refuse. The fact that Tucker Carlson was investigating the January 6th video footage that Pelosi refused to release that told a completely different story.....we all thought it was 14,000 hours when it was in fact over 40,000 hours of unreleased video footage.
Funny that he is now silenced.....for now.
There were reportedly at least 40 of them in the crowd.MSN

60 minutes Fake News.Oh yes I saw the spin done on ray epps.....video done from both sides.
Exactly. That’s why they were the Show Trial. The January 6th committee edited the video footage a lot....even trying to make a Republican senator look like a coward running through the halls....and how they edited how the shaman acted.
Carlson was an opinion host, not a news reporter.MSN

Well them maybe they have decided to go back to being "fair and balanced"Carlson was an opinion host, not a news reporter.
Fox opinion programs with a conservative bias ARE balance, considering the programming content of the other cable news networks.Well them maybe they have decided to go back to being "fair and balanced"
Tucker went on the air just three weeks after the election and had a whole monologue criticizing attorney Sidney Powell, who he had on as a guest previously.Fox opinion programs with a conservative bias ARE balance, considering the programming content of the other cable news networks.
