The biggest item in insurance is to have the correct coverage and actually understand what the coverages are and your exposure. In my personal opinion, I think CIS does a great job especially for new folks in explaining those coverages. With that said, they aren't the only game in town so I would discount any idea that they have the market cornered. Just simply not a accurate statement. They may have the market cornered as the best agency but that is a separate issue. On a side note, I believe CIS services Berkshire but I do believe there rates in many circumstances are higher. Insurance is always fluid so it is good to shop and compare coverages.

I have Berkshire Hathaway insurance going through CIS. It was thousands less cost per year. It's worth having them at least quote your renewal policy.

thats complete....100% all approved.... John Elliott approved insurance......LOL

And I approve of this message LOL.

CIS is an agent. In my opinion a great one. I have seen them handle many claims for my owner operators and seen how hard they fight and work for them. Agents are paid a set commission by insurance companies. Their value is in finding coverage and in service. CIS does great at both. They don't set rates.

Now not a lot of people are jumping to write this type of insurance. It's easy....it's not a great market to write. Supply and demand and profitability determine that like any insurance market.

Some pay more some pay less. Most insurance companies look at domicile (diff states have vastly different laws for payouts and exposure. Talk to your congressman if you don't like that. It's not the insurance company). They also look at credit. If you have bad credit....work on that, don't complain about insurance agents. Like it or not you represent a statistically proven increased risk for them if YOUR credit is bad. They also look at operation, area you run (many agents will lie to get a lower rate and quote courier coverage vs otr expedite).

Other big factor is coverages and deductibles. Those can move the needle quite a bit. As well time in business is often a factor.

If your quote is too cheap question the coverage and then question again. If it's really expensive...look at where you re based and how that effects the rate. Then look at YOUR driving record and YOUR credit rating. If they are all bad, don't blame others.

I am sure that their are other good agents out there. Not many specialize in the expedite niche market. I am sure some do a great job and maybe they just don't market themselves well. CIS I know does a great job and they market and support the expedite community very well. Casino night is a great example of this among other things they do.
