truckstop power outages

Just wanted to let everyone know that here in Harrisburg, Pa on I-81, exit 77, all truckstops (T/A, Pilot and Wilco-Hess) powers out due to the ongoing snowstorm. Trees and powerlines are down all over and News channel 4 is advising to travel only if necessary. The crews are working very hard to try to clear the roadways but have been unsuccessful in keeping up with all that is happening right now to include multiple wrecks, downed trees and downed powerlines. If you plan on traveling thru this corrider, I would call and check road conditions first, then fill up before coming thru here. I will update you thru the day/night as to when power is restored and what the local news/weather TV stations are updating as far as road conditions as well. Skip

Power is still out here, doors locked at all the truckstops so you can't get into the truckstops, not even to use the bathroom. T/A parking is full, as well as the Pilot. Here at the Wilco-Hess-still parking spots available, but going fast, as is the closed down truckstop next to the T/A.

Just found out that the power isn't suppose to be back on til sometime tomarrow here in Harrisburg, Pa.

They are calling for snow here in Wytheville, VA tomorrow. Power outages happen all summer too. Thunderstorms, tornadoes and don't forget flooding. Bad weather happens in all seasons. Shoot, I would even be willing to bet that in the U.S. more people die from weather related problems in spring and summer than do in fall and winter. Life is what it is.

UPDATE:Re: truckstop power outages

Power is back on at all the truckstops here in Harrisburg, Pa but the doors won't be unlocked for about another hour and the fuel pumps still haven't rebooted, so as of now, you still can't fuel at any of the truckstops yet.
