Parking in city streets will just make the public hate us more? Really?..... Really? Sorry ladies for interupting your tea function will all the MEN step up to the plate please?

Their lives are every bit as important as ours. You make some mom late to pick up her kids, make someone.late for work or a meeting you accomplish nothing but gain enemies.

It isn't about keeping them happy it is about keeping them on your side. If i am not mistaken in the old days the unions would basically block entrance to plants not public roads in general. Might have been a reason for that.

Its ziggy.

Think about what would happen if every truck driver at the sme time parked on city streets, interstate ramps and interstates.

Parking in city streets would make the public hate trucks even more.

Not only would the public hate trucks even more, but many truckers, especially those leading it, would likely be charged with Domestic Terrorism.

Find myself wondering what great things came from the shutdowns of the 70's and why it's going to be different this time? Most of the gung-ho shut em down types never put their money where their mouth is anyways. I actually do shut down when the markets are down. I don't expect anyone else to. And I don't expect it to magically make great rates appear from where there are none. I just do what is in my own best interest. As far as EOBR is concerned, whatever comes down the pike comes, you either adapt or whither away.

Bob think about how long it would take to find A mexican for every truck and mexican O/Os would be broke in no time at all. Thats alot of seats to fill and alot of training to do in A very short period of time plus insuring and qualifiying. I believe they couldn't pull that off in time. I believe it would only take 3 days 5 max to get posiitve results. Remember when the N.Y.C. cabs shut down and left their cabs parked in the street blocking all lanes of traffic? Think about what would happen if every truck driver at the sme time parked on city streets, interstate ramps and interstates. there would not be enough time before the effects would be felt. Ziggy I understand the way you feel that it would never happen I believe if the right organizations were behind it including carriers and brokers it could they would have to understand that they would benefit from it also. It would take the right people with the tenacity and gift of gab to convince all the different mentalaties in trucking that it would benefit not only them but the whole country because if truck drivers had money to spend they would spend it i know i would.

We would all be arrested for domestic terrorism. To block an highway or roadway is now an act of terrorism.
