Are there any web sites that give the value of expediter trucks? Similar to the Kelly Blue Book for car's. Thanks.

Unfortunantly, there isn't. I suggest two things:

1. Visit our FREE CLASSIFIEDS and get an idea from there.

2. Take your unit to the Expedite Expo [link:www.expediteexpo.com| (Visit Expedite Expo 2005)] on August 10 & 11 in Woodhaven, MI - ALL of the major expedite manufacturers and dealers will be there - they can give you an on the spot estimate of what they think it's worth. Ask for a retail trade and private sale qoute.

The reason I asked is because a fleet owner want's to sell 2 of his trucks. 1998 FL70/400,000 miles, and a 2000 FL70 with 600,000 miles. Both leased on with All- State and drivers in place. Want's $35,000. Waiting for more info. Will the VIN #'s help any? Thank you very much. I know your busy.

Sounds like you can get a two truck fleet ready to roll for the 35K. I think the actual value of the truck is not as important as the value of the complete package. I believe I'd be more interested in a mechanical evaluation of the remaining life of the trucks, the intentions of the drivers if the owner sells, and the earning potential of the package. Slowhand has been around the block a few times so my comments are aimed at a person not as experienced as him who might be inclined to jump into a deal such as this because of the perceived value of a truck.

I own those types of trucks. I have bought in the past and am always looking around. I think that price is high depending on what has been done to the engines and what tranny they have. Give me more details and I will give you my best opinion.

is that for one truck or both
and that is high mileage, if your going to spend that much money on a use truck and is maintance record for the truck there for you to look at to see what maintance has been down on the truck and is how has pm's been done

no maintance record's stay away from that truck

Business deals as this are usually a rush someone needs to sell NOW. Neg. with a time line of two months or up to two months that nothing will happen from you until you can do your homework.

Talk, ask, and discover EXACTLY what you are purchasing. Sounds good this opporutnity unless the drivers lease is due up Sept l. Now youll be an owner of two trucks no drivers. You need details people on this site can only give you recommendations you need FACTS.

99 IS A VERY old truck have any problems and the Lease company can and probably will say see ya until you get a newer truck.

This opporunity could be a BONANZA or could get you in more trouble than you could imiagne. PS no bank is gona finance this with or without the trucks as colateral (spelling?).

Good Luck and use your head and if your spouse if have one does not like it than back off.
