MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis police have identified a man that was hit and killed by a tractor trailer at a Love's Truck Stop in Southeast Memphis.
Paul R. Barton, 72, was hit on the right front bumper of the big rig, as the driver pulled from diesel pumps and made a left turn.
No charges have been filed in the case.

MEMPHIS, TN - A man is dead, after being hit and killed by a tractor trailer at a Love's Truck Stop in Southeast Memphis, just after 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009.
Police at the scene say the man, who remains unidentified, walked in front of the truck as the driver was pulling off from the truck stop located at 3371 Lamar near American Way. The man was hit and dragged around 20 to 30 feet before the driver realized what happened and stopped. The victim was trapped underneath the 18-wheeler. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Memphis police are investigating the death and say it is too early to determine any specifics in the case.
