Trp Pak

A little hint for those of us with FDX CC or anyone else who uses Trip Pak to send in their paperwork,is too write down somewhere on your copy the date and the location of the Trip Pak box you used.I heard about a guy that had his paperwork lost by Trip Pak and they wanted to know the box location and he was unable to remember which one he used. It was a long delay in getting paid.

That's great info Rich, i make notes on were i drop after i put my paperwork in the slot and the door came open spilling all the contents on the floor, sometimes they turn the lock and the door isn't close and it's like a slot machine waiting to payoff. The only time i have had one open up for my and my payoff was retreiving the contains and putting it all back in, very similar to you standard machines.

Its information like this that makes these forums great. When they started TrPak,Ibegan keeping track of the location but as time went by I kind of slacked off.Now I am back on it,and will continue to do so.I dont believe this info would cause FECC to pay the lost runs any faster, but Trp Pak could use the info to inprove their service.
A question I have is What do you do with logs that need to be sent in before your next run. Also What about fuel reciepts, custom release documents, customs fee reciepts. They havent made it clear if these items go to Trp Pak,or to Green OH>

Hi, we include everything in our tripak envelope just as we did when we sent them directly to the company. Hint: if you have a fuel receipt that is barely legible as some receipts are, fill in or "color" in the info as they will have a problem reading it after they scan it and will send it back to you for the info. Past that, I can't see where it's any faster, it's still whatever we get to them by Wed. goes on the next week. I'm not real confident in this system yet so we're being real careful. DD

:) I too, am a contractor with FDCC and I had a trip pak lost as well. I contacted settlements and they had me fax in my driver copy of the FDCC BOL and I was paid. I did not have a copy of the shippers BOL, but I am thinking to start asking for an extra copy. However, you are right in saying that you should document when and where you dropped your envelope off. They also suggest that you keep a copy of EVERY piece of paperwork you send in but do you know how expensive that would be over time if you don't have a copier in your truck?

redytrk.

I have been with ROBERT'S/FEDEX CUSTOM CRITICAL for 10 years so I know how those office personell think. As the old saying goes, copy, copy, copy. However, if you buy fuel using your comdata card you DO NOT have to send in the receipt because comdata reports it daily. Only fuel purchased without the comdata card needs to be sent in. As for logs, I only send mine in that is up to the date as possible on the trip I just completed. If I don't get another run for a week they don't get any of those logs until I complete that run. I have never had a problem with that. I NEVER send in anything unless it is with my signed BOL and the reason for this is, they have told me in the past that they did not receive a log or whatever. I ask them if they received the BOL and they say yes, then I am able to tell them that they got the logs or whatever because they were all in the same pack and they are the ones that lost them. they don't like to hear that they are the incompetent ones that screwed up but they go back and check and sure enough, they will find them. I will not spend money to duplicate items that they themselves have lost. So, unless you have to fax something to them, my advice is to NEVER send them ANYTHING unless its included with a BOL or delivery receipt.
