I too prefer to work with a smaller company. My Roberts Express days are History. If you break down the cost of the qualcomm, fifty-two weeks at thirty five dollars a week, that's a cost to the driver of eighteen hundred and twenty dollars. Some say it's a great thing, I bet your pocket book doesn't. We use cell phones and the Owner of the company's son is the dispatcher, it doesn't get any smaller than that. The rare call may come in where are you at, I give them a mile marker or town and tell them how long to the destination. No beeping qualcomm while I am sleeping, and waking you to find out it is a fleet messaage. IMHO, smaller company's are much more flexible and perosnal.

I wouldnt know about service failure points.I have only been late once and it was due to a highway shut down for a fuel tanker accident and all i did was stayed in touch with dispatch like every 30mins to a hour.
