Well, this has been discussed on here, but I think I'll say it as a good reminder for everyone, myself included:

Anytime you change companies, be prepared, because normally it takes a little bit to learn their system. Any O/O will tell you that a change will slow down your earnings temporarily. You have down time, new up-front expenses, and learning to work with dispatch. Sitting at one exit with your last company might be a hotspot, but with the new one, it's not near as good as being 20 miles east. If there were NO slowdown by switching companies, the best of o/o's would always be switching companies the first week they had lower miles. Ateam would be throwing cats on their truck, DaveKC would be calling Tri-state and Leo would be at the FED. Oh, and Greg334 would be running team with TallCal.

x06col,

I think you're right..LOL..

Jerry,

Thanks for coming in and letting us hear both sides of the story. To those who wonder why I'm saying that? Jerry did it professionally. At no time did he name real names, or give private info... nor did he trash 'Darryn' or his driver. He gave facts to defend his company.

Quote: Fact 3: The Tractor was in service during that time for only 3 days.
Fact 4: The straight truck was in service for the entire 10 days with the exception of legal down time requirements.
Fact 5: Gross revenue for tractor was $2320.54 and 1382 miles.
Fact 6: Gross revenue for straight was $3269.12 and 2561 miles.

Tractor did 1382 in 3 days solo at $1.68 a mile...... D Unit 2561 in 8 days (if you take out assumed restart) at $1.27 a mile.

That sounds a lot different than 3 weeks in service for both vehicles, and they did indeed hit their advertised total revenue of $1.20 per mile! Sounds like a decent new company start up to me! Many would love those kind of miles in a 3/8 day start up period.

And you almost went broke?

Good luck finding a company that suits your requirements, hope you meet theirs!

Thanks all,

I heard my name mentioned, so I am going to post something.

Ok Jefferson300 – Tallcal as my Co-driver? We would never move, LOL. As much as I really respect Tallcal, it is like Darryn making money with his situation, it would never happen.

Jerry, I wonder what makes people thinks that it is all nice and well out in the real world and that you are there to give money away.

If he is in debt with in a month, that says it all.

Darryn, well never mind......
