Toot your horn!

TOOT TOOT! Can't believe the luck I'm having this trip out. DH is ok, miles are good, not hunting freight, getting out of crazy areas. When so many are talking about sitting in TX, I snuck in and got one. Got out of Nebraska both times here. Predispatched out of NC. Other than the storm that hit Nebraska on Thursday, not a lot of negative. Not overwhelming numbers, but good to go for Feb/Mar. Feels more like June except for the weather. LOL

Staying out till Apr 15 (daughter's bday), then taking over the lease on the truck. By then I should be more than ready to support the cost of running on my own without help from the Woman. ;)

Toot away!

I usually dont like to toot, but since you tooted first. I've been getting out of areas that people wished me luck on (which i guess does work) Sat in Tampa for less then 24 hours. Was up in kansas got a load out of there real quick. Got out of Jackson, Ms in less then 24 hours. Sitting now in Houston with a first out i belive so maybe will get something out this weekend.

The pavement has sunk in where my truck has sat for long, even a tire went flat sitting.

Keep it up Golden Boy.

Panther just tooted mine, by sending a QC message saying that I'd been selected to run a load for a very important customer, though they seem to believe my name is Attention! lol, and the load was to lovely downtown Emporium, Pa, smack in the middle of the mountains. Beginning in the heart of Chicago during rush hour, it was indeed a load to remember. The 2649 lbs on board kept me firmly on the snowy road, despite every effort of the wind to blow me off all through Indiana. And the winding 2 lane through the mountains wasn't too bad, since I had it pretty much to myself in the wee hours - nobody to get mad at me for the s l o w uphill climbs...
I appreciate the words of appreciation, but would trade in a heartbeat for a month like Bryan's! Are you listening, Expedite Gods? Bring it on!! :p :9 :D

My Feb was the PITTS!! But, now that I can haul 10 skids instead of 2, maybe things will improve. Typing from 84" of comfort ain't bad either.

Well, so far, I think I'm gonna like it. '07 M2, 250 MBE, 6 speed automated, 84" Bentz, 22' box. The Rigmaster gets installed Tuesday. It should be ready to put in service Thursday. I'm getting to see how it runs with 7k in the box hauling my van back home. Tommorow will be the test on the hills in northern Mich.

I wish we could toot our horn, but the miles for last month were the worst I have had in 10 years of driving. If I did not have a retirement from the Navy, we would have not been able to pay the bills. We are going to give it one or two more months, and if it does not drastically improve, we will return to the 18 wheels. Not something we want to do, but it has been worse then bad....

Cheri I got that "Attention you are the best driver of all time in history so well give you an awesome load" message from long island to go pick it up 115 miles upstate New York going to West Virginia almost 600 miles with nice surcharge, so I go up there to find out that the load was picked up 20 minutes earlier by another carrier. I'd love to find out how and why two completely different carriers are dispatched to the same load.
