I KNEW IT! Just a matter of time before Pee became the topic on this thread LOL.
Im trying to figure out is this guy looking for advice or is he being a whiney bittch. If your looking for advice, grow up, put on your big boy undies and listen to what we are trying to tell you.
First of all a recruiter will often lie his or her asz off. Its not about how many miles I run, its about how much money I have at the end of the month after I have paid the bills. I also have an over priced truck payment, and have run on minimums for some time, and unfortunately worked without a paycheck on too many occasions especialy when the truck has to be in the shop.
Here is my advice as I have a wife and kids and want to keep it that way. It may work for you it might not. I run local/regional meaning the majority of my work is within 11 driving hours or apx 500 air miles or less of home that way I am home easily if Im needed. I am pro own authority again its a gamble but there are advantages such as working for more than one company, and dirrectly with shippers. Having your own authority dose have its pitfalls too.
The point is to work smart.
