Today is Veteran's This is the one day each year that we honor ALL men and women who served in our Armed Forces in both times of piece and during war. Without their service and sacrifice we would NOT enjoy the freedoms that we have.

I am attaching a few pics of our families contribution to that effort!! Hope you enjoy.

There are pics of my dad and myself in our primes and one including my son and nephew who are still in the service. My son is deployed in Afghanistan as we speak.

Layout,
I think I am in the minority because I don't think one day a year (or is it two) is enough to thank those who actually went to war for our country.

As you know I have been helping a few vets with different problems they face recovering and it is one reason why I am not always in the truck. That is the least I can do for them.

Because I am old fashioned and in the minority, to me today is Armistice Day, it is to celebrate the end of one of the worst wars in our history that is almost forgotten we should thank God every day that our troops do not face those conditions.

You are one of the few that even remember that term, Armistice Day. You are also right, this nation does NOT have a very good track record in regards to our Veterans. One day is NOT enough.

I remember Arimistice Day from school but then I went to a good school and actually paid attention some of the time. My family had 11 men/boys during WW2 between my dad, my uncles and my aunt's husbands. All 11 of them went to war and all 11 returned home whole. Today is Armistice Day and every day should be veteran's day.

Oh Pelican, I WAS young and in my prime back then. 19, my life in front of me. I find it amazing just HOW MUCH I look like my dad in his pic, he was 19 at the time of his pic. Oh, the times I have had since that pic was taken!!!
