I have a membership with Planet Fitness that costs me $20 a month. When I rode with my buddy for those few months, I saw a gym at just about every drop point. I figured I can just keep my membership and grab a workout or at least a shower if I have the time. Just a thought if someone is interested in that route.
I have never paid for A shower but when I run out of credits I stand by the kiosk and ask fellow drivers if they can spare A shower. Never had to ask more than 3 people I also return the favor when I see someone with no credits left. What goes around comes right back around. So don't pay for A shower just ask A driver.
If im in the area of Taylor, MI I stop off at Load 1 and use the one in their drivers lounge.

I get a shower at the gym before or after a load, or sometimes between if I can. Water pressure and temp is everything! 48 hrs and no shower = unhappy driver.
I'd did grab a shower at the ta last night after topping off a full 28 gallons... I try to get my tank as empty as possible and be nice to the cashiers. The worst they can say is no, then you reach for a stack or receipts. 50 gal tank on a sprinter would be nice

If a $20 per month gym membership buys you unlimited access/showers how long will it be until a gym becomes a homeless persons home away from home ?
A perverts nitetime get away ? A place that gets a hooker off park benches.

They have cameras panic buttons keyed entry etc. Never seen a problem in one yet.

Looks like im going to join Anytime Fitness. Out of shower credits and sitting for days on end, I think you would anyone would come out better.

The people I mentioned would have the key code. Park yer shopping cart,10 mins on a treadmill, and shower.
Nancy strolls in, 10 minutes on a stairclimber and in to wash John's back for $20.
People talking of them as shower houses makes me think of the old Roman Bath houses.
When I ran team for Roadway I got a Super 8 near Rifle, Co to set aside two rooms that they rented out for us to shower in.
Hotels will sometimes rent you an unrentable room, cheaply, for a few bucks for an hour or less.
Once I had a choice of broken TV or ants under sink in a vanity.
According to a couple of mutual "friends", I understand you ARE a little long in the tooth....but Roman Baths?!? I can barely remember the mineral baths in Mt. Clemens, let alone what conditions were like in Rome back in the day!
And I seriously doubt they had shopping carts OR stairclimbers back then.
FYI, I would probably have opted for the ants. At least they would have helped keep the room clean...

I'm a little confused. Does PJ or PT have any programs where vanners can gain shower credits with fuel purchases. I fill up 1 to 4 times PER DAY some weeks and hate to think I can't get a shower comped every once in a while. Anyone know of a program/card I should hunt for?

I have the My Rewards card with PJ But their program doesn't provide shower credits for gasoline purchases.
Get the PROFESSIONAL card...It is BLUE....NOT the Yellow one for RV's that one gets you .03 discount...14 gallons 1/2 shower credit
checked my stash.....I have that 1 as well...dang no wonder people get confused...
I still use my old flying j one. They always try to wave it across the scanner then realize they have to slide it. Thought i lost it so i picked up the new one but its just a backup now.
