I lived in the Cocoa-Titusville area from 61-07. Travis Hardware might actually have what you need. That is the strangest hardware store in the world. Ask for something really old and obscure and they have it in stock.

UPDATE:

The company is making a replacement stud that uses standard nuts. I will be solving this problem with the new stud. Thanks for all the help. EO is a GREAT resource.

There are a few nuts in some of the threads here but not sure about any nylon. :D

Since the answers have been provided, I gotta say I was afraid it'd be something about a new pair of 'those shorts' :eek:
You truck drivers are a baaaaad influence....
