Thread hogging

Looks like the Loading Dock has become "The English Lady" thread. Though I like alot of the stuff she posts, much of it I have read somewhere else. Also, when posting so much at one time, she blows everybody else to page two where readership thins out. I would not encourage her to not post, of course, but rather not so many at once. There is such a thing as fairness. Please cool your jets English Lady. Tomorrow is another day.

I post during the wee small hours of the morning, so if any other members post they would knock me down, so to speak not the other way around.

I post what I hope will interest EO members, and give a bit of variety to the forum, and as you say tomorrow is another day..... with hopefully more interesting topics.

Side Note: A few posts are not new, they have been brought back by members posting something new onto them.
Which is good - it shows members are looking beyond page 1.

Not so very long ago it seems I remember your name nearly filling the Loading Dock with jokes LOL

You average 11 posts a day.Do you ever post anything besides jokes that are sent to you over the internet.A lot of the jokes I've seen my self in my emails.

Duly noted.And yes I have megaposted in the past and it was pointed out to me to slowdown, which i did, and started spreading out my posts and limiting to a few a day max, when I had alot of material. 11posts a day average, no way? You better get a new calculator night. Anyway it was just an observation, because I, like to read the comments of others on various posts, and as we all know, not everyone checks in everyday, so some of the more interesting posts are gone to the page two graveyard rather quickly. And, to repeat, I do enjoy most of your posts English Lady. You post very interesting stuff. You too nightcreacher. So, take it for what it's worth, as there was no offense intended.

Which do u want, I have a 1000 ladders and 500 shovels for u to dig with or climb out of a hole. 2. Does freedom of speech and freedom of the press ring a bell. 3. EL publishes nice articles, no rudeness or vulgar stuff, pleasant to read, and guess what,,,YOU HAVE THE RIGHT NOT TO READ IT. Cant we all just have a nice day ???

Sky, that she posts interesting stuff has already been established. Freedom of speech was never an issue here. Courtesy was the issue, as was pointed out to me with my megaposts sometime ago. I DO scroll by the ones i don't want to read. However there are topics by other posters, that in my opinion go to the back page quickly and don't get read or commented on by others, because of megaposting. I know, with all the reading i do, i don't go to page two. So, it's not a big deal, and if a poster does not want to consider others, and dominate the thread, then go ahead and do it! Just my two cents. I'll still be reading Sue's posts, and yours too.

I have been blasted for "wallpapering the Soupbox by those that don't like the topics and they too complianed that the # of posts pushed others to the 2nd page...oh well... here we have someone who post in latge numbers complianing about the same thing that he does, seems to be that sense he was told to backoff, then even one should...

Personally I don't think either of you should backoff, post as you want...I don't believe the complaint came from the Admin or any Moderator so that means no rules were broken...and I can speak to hat fro experience...

When I was busted on for "wallpapering" by a few, I got PM's telling me to continue simply because while they read news from other scources, they weren't reading from some of the sites i posted from....

So with no TOS rules being broken, post away....both of you and screw the whiners....

Don't take this wrong but who really cares?

Sue does a good job as does Chef and Lou, but ... we all contribute to the site and the more participation, the more the site works for all of us.

If you are so concern about having two pages, learn how to use the system.

GO to User CP, then look for a link called Edit Options then scroll down to the box called Thread Display Options and look for Number of Posts Showing Per Page AND select 40 per page from the drop down box.

My only b*tch is that there needs to be more of a thought into where the threads go, like truck related threads in truck section and politics in the soap box but also general and specific NON-CARRIER threads in the right forum, not in the carrier specific area (there are two there in that forum that should be moved).

Oh and one last thing, no offense Lou but this should be titles forum hogging.
