Once you start using it you won't go back to paper logs- I guarantee it. Even though some companies don't allow the DDL printouts as their paper logbooks are scanned for audit (FedEx is one I know of), I would still use the DDL program firsthand, and draw up your paper logs from it. That way your company audits will be clean.
