is it just me or has anyone else noticed how quiet and peaceful it has been of the forums lately? my thoughts on that...it was that way when i first joined this site back in '02.then we had a member join that after a short investigation, was found to be a known instigater of trouble on several other forums.true to his past behavior on those forums,he soon had people on EO stirred up and it got quite ugly on here.subsequently he was banned from the site, and once again things settled down and returned to normal.then a little less than a year ago this member was allowed to return to EO (and also was given a much bigger soap box from which to express his distorted views of the expeditng industry)after his return,it didn't take long before once again everyone was at each others throats (he does have some supporters)and in my opinion this site suffered greatly because of it.it was just a few weeks ago that this same member became upset with the way that he was being treated by the moderators of EO.after a post of his was edited by one of those moderators,he announced that in protest he would not post on EO for 30 days.true to his word,he has been nowhere to be found on this site.now that the 30 days is almost up,i believe it won't take long before the mud slinging will begin again.people that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.DD.

Time to grow up and act like an adult! Your comments are what stir up the crap. Get over it and move on. I think everyone is tired of all the back stabbing that has gone on here. If we were Doctors or Lawyers you would not read this on any forums they may participate on. They are professionals, oh yeah and so are you, or are you?? You want to be treated like a Professional Truck Driver then act like it!

glenn it seems strange to me that you say that my comments are what stir up crap, when at least two moderators on these forums take any opportunity that they can to throw barbs at this same member in question.i wish it could be so easy as to get over it and move on,but as i pointed out it won't be long before this site is in an uproar again.mark my words, until this member is removed permanently this site will suffer because of it.

I for one Refuse to get Involved in Negitive Posts. If everyone else would just blow off those types of Post I think they would soon stop.

This is just my observation. I became upset about three months when gentleman Tennesee Trash contacted me that he could not get a straight answer that the mud slinging had made him think we were all a bunch of ego you know what.

I spent about an hour on the phone with him and last I heard he is running team with Panther and is enjoying it. We almost discouraged someone with a passion to get into this. (I am not taking credit for his success) just left me with a bad impression about what we were posting here.

I followed this sight for 4 months before ordering my truck. The sight was very positive and it did take a serious down turn in a hurry a few months back.

Personally I have no enimies on this site that I am aware of. I was taken back last week by someone who I do not know. Its a great tool and its great because of all of you we do not and should not agree with you/me on everything. I thank you all for your participation and look forward to learning more and more and if I may say sharing the same.

We're on a positive vibe here the past few weeks, and we're going to keep it that way. We are not going to put up with anyone making jabs, or insulting other posters.

We will keep these forums professional, so that we can continue to help new and old members alike.

It's not a popularity contest, and no member will be banned simply because others do not agree with what he posts. People are entitled to their opinions, they are NOT entitled to attack other posters.

Any member, past, present, or future, is welcome to share their opinions, if they can do so without attacking, bashing, insulting, or otherwise flaming any other poster.

If you don't like something a poster says, provide facts supporting YOUR theory. Don't simply attack a post because of who posted it.

We can stay helpful, if we just have some common courtesy.

I'm counting on the professionalism of all the posters who have helped me so much over the years.

Thanks for understanding,

Well said.
Environment has been wonderful these last 3 weeks.
It appears most see it as well based on the MATS show and PM's
Hopefully, the flamers and egomaniacs have moved on.

DD, I understand your point, but I think if everyone does their best to be professional, we can still keep the positive vibe going no matter what.

I will never delete a difference of opinion. What I ask, is for people not to purposely bash another poster, and insult them.

Seems some people can't do that, but I truely believe that you, and others here are professional enough not to let someone's OPINION get under your skin, and make you lose your cool.

I really hope my belief is true. You, among others, have WAY to much info to share, and too much help to give, to let things get sidetracked into petty bickering.

If the insults start flying, then the mods will have to use that dang 'magic wand'..LOL... and I really hate that thing!

Like I said, disagreeing is fine, attacking is not.

As long as everyone understands that, we'll have no problems!

The problem here is that it takes 2 sides to make a coin and 2 sides to make an argument and quite frankly and bluntly there are a number of people around here who don't know when to keep quiet.

There are a number of people here who aren't experts but who talk like they are. For all I know I could be thought by others to need to be included in that consensus. There are a number of people here who are truly experts. There are a lot of people at various stages in between.

Unfortunately, when one of the less than experts posts a number of people can't leave it alone. They have to show how immature they are by maligning the poster rather than either ignoring it or simply posting facts for everyone to see and use as they see fit.

Everyone needs to post whatever they post based on representing themselves professionally and as someone worth listening to. If you aren't part of the solution you're part of the problem.

Exactly Leo... that's where the problem lies, when people attack the poster rather than providing alternative information.

Well put, I couldn't have put it better.

Thank you for deleting my last post. It just goes to show that the only kind of personal bashing that can be done here is by moderators. Oh well, hope you got to see my post Glen.
