I use a credit card for EVERYTHING I purchase, either for my delivery business or anything personal.
Even a cup of coffee at McDonalds !!
Some of the advantages are: Less trips to the ATMs; you don't have to carry as much cash with you; permanent records of where you were in regards to date, time and location; and at least one (1) percent rebates on all purchases and even as high as four (4) percent on some fuel purchases; and finally, you have less paper receipts floating around.
The downside: (?) Always pay the monthly bill ontime to avoid any interest fee. (This should never be a problem as some claim. If you had to purchase the products initially, you would have had to pay cash anyway.)
I was audited by the IRS in 1999 and they (IRS) disputed my mileage claims (130k) for that year. The auditor only needed about 10 min to connect the dots as for the authenticity of the mileage claims.
The monthly statements from Chase Bank were invaluable.
Be safe.
