Here on the edge of Lake Erie, it's about 12 degrees, with the wind from 30-45 mph, it feels like -18, and the gusts are rocking the truck! (Airtabs aren't helping, lol)
How chilly is it where you are?

-9 degrees with a predicted low of -18 by morning. Only whimps, communists and weather geeks mention wind chill.

1 degree now with a 22 mph wind making it feel like negative 21 degrees here in Dayton.

Went to the mall about 5 pm and it was gusting to 40 mph at that time. The truck was rocking and rolling on the way out.

Inside now, but I have the Espar on in the truck to keep things from freezing.

Stay warm! Keep your skin covered if you go out.

2 deg F, or -15 C (guess that makes me a commie)
-27 wind chill (whimp?)

If you post in this thread, think it automatically makes you a weather geek.

Bet the idea of a St. Bernard doesn't seem so silly now does it cheri?

Toledo, 1 degree plus whatever the wind chill is. BUT, the Van can rock, i am in the house, and the themostat is set at 70 (was 72 but my wife had a fit) my wife will lower it to 62 when we head to bed.

So, "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" Or," blow" it the wind is a factor!!

(couldn't get too cold that fast right?)

Wrong... sucker refused to start... dang it.. drained the bat trying to start it..... amazing how fast a beard and mustache can develope icicles! Finally got it running with some help... decided.. it can idle.. just in case I get another run offer.

Must be a lot of people out of service already... I actually got an offer with 400 plus deadhead .

Current temp at home is -15 F. Winds are calm. The truck is plugged in and the house is warm. We are home for Christmas but my heart is in Florida. I do not like the cold.

I'm sure everyone will get even when it's 900 degrees down here this summer.

Sitting at home (as always), freezing rain, ice covered roads. Supposed to warm up to just rain later today. Upper 50's thru Sunday with severe thunderstorms on Sat.
Crawling the walls, been home too long!! Need to find a 'good owner' and get back out on the road.

I'd like to feel sorry for all y'all... but I don't.

Last Thursday the 18th, Edmonton, Alberta, -33 F and 45 MPH sustained winds.
Calgary on Friday, -32 F, same winds.
Saturday morning in Bismark, -28 F, 50 MPH winds.
Sunday morning in Saskatoon, -41 F, just stoopid winds.
Sunday night in Bismark, -25 F, 45 MPH winds.
Monday morning in Saskatoon, -36 F and the same stoopid winds.
Everywhere in western Canada you're driving on snow packed ice in pea soup fog of wind-blown snow. Day.... night..... doesn't matter, you can't see much past your windshield, anyway. And the deer and the antelope keep wanting to play their version of Frogger.

Monday night in Minot, a balmy -20 F and oh, it snowed another foot.
Tuesday morning and afternoon, more snow, more winds, so let's check out the backroads of North Dakota on Hwy 52 between Minot and Jamestown. Yep, they're bad. Can't see for the blowing snow, roads are icy, it's accumulating another foot, and the elk are playing kick-the-can with the pheasants.

A chilly morning in Saksatoon, Saskatchewan

You can't even add 2+2 in your head without your thought process being interrupted by, "Dαmn! It's cold!"

High Noon in Edmonton.

11:57 AM local time just outside of Edmonton, Alberta.
The sun rides low and the Qualcomm satellite rides even lower.
A QC bubble on your vehicle instantly pegs you as a tourist.

The heart of Vulcan County in Alberta,
halfway between Lethbridge and Calgary. The wind-blown snow-fog is relentless.
IMG_0377a.jpg

The town of Vulcan consists of a grain elevator,
half a dozen fuel stops and half a dozen restaurants, most of which have a Star Trek theme, like The Enterprise Family Restaurant, as well as the Tourism and Trek Station, where you can get anything from Spock Ears to Star Trek Hot Chocolate. They have an annual Spock Days Rodeo, as well as a Vul-Con Convention.
