The Trump Card...

Hopefully you are not impressed with Hillary.
Not particularly, I liked her husband though. Things were pretty good when he was running things. Money came a lot easier and the right and left worked together much better back then. Now they spend more time trying to f each other than they do governing our country. It's a shame. This used to be the greatest country in the world. In many ways it isn't anymore. I'll love this country till I die but don't kid yourselfs

A 'news organization' called The Huffington Post takes a stand on Donald Trump:
.
A Note About Our Coverage Of Donald Trump's 'Campaign'

After watching and listening to Donald Trump since heannounced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won't report on Trump's campaign as part of The Huffington Post's political coverage. Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump's campaign is a sideshow. We won't take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you'll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and The Bachelorette.

Wow. Trump (and the GOP in general) could respond that the rag of liberalism is so afraid of him they won't even cover him properly and ethically.

Or he could just go, "Huffington who?"

I don't think it's going to matter much, though. That's a site that not very many people read anymore. They used to routinely get 10,000 or more comments on news stories, now it's rare for them to get 1000.

The reason is, Huffington Post has become more or less a shameless aggregator where children play at the news. If The New York Times political writers do a story concerning Trump, and the Huff steals it like they do everyday, will the Huff arbitrarily put it in its Entertainment Section?

Demagoguery and nonsense - same words (rhetoric) used to describe Ross Perot, Ron Paul, Ronald Reagan, and probably several others. You gotta demonize your opponent, especially when they're leading you in the polls.

Most likely when Trump hears about it, he'll just go on twitter and trash talk HP, like everyone else he doesn't like.

MSNBC

Real-estate developer Donald Trump was ready to trash MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell on Friday's "Morning Joe."

The two had been exchanging public barbs over Trump's claim this weekthat NBC paid him a staggering $213 million for 14 seasons of "The Apprentice."

O'Donnell accused the Republican presidential candidate of inflating that total, and Trump responded bycalling him "dopey" and a "fool" who had an "unwatchable show." Trump further bet O'Donnell a year's salarythat the $213 million figure was accurate.

However, before Trump was about to offer more self-described "nasty" things about O'Donnell on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," host Joe Scarborough played a clip of O'Donnell effusively and extensively walking back from the feud Thursday night.

In the clip, O'Donnell praised Trump's character and noted past incidents, including when O'Donnell was recovering from a serious car crash, during which Trump reached out to him with encouraging words. O'Donnell also apologized for what he called a distraction from more important issues.

"Where I come from, no one settled their disagreements with bets, because no one of us had any money to bet," he said. "And I might be wrong. I have never said, 'I know exactly how much Donald Trump made from the entire series.' I don't know. I've made semi-educated guesses about it and I don't really care very much about it. I stupidly jumped into talking about it."

Trump appeared a little taken aback.

"So this morning is really a little strange for me, Joe. No, I was going to go after Lawrence big, big league. And I was going to do the challenge and say lots of nasty things about him. But it's hard to do that now," he said.

He also joked that he felt "guilty."

"Well I'm very disappointed because I was really all set to go after him this morning, and now I feel guilty if I do that. I'd feel very, very guilty," he said. "Joe, you really ruined my morning, to be honest with you."

I don't know that it's been established that Lawrence O.'s accusations are untrue ... mostly a case of he said, he said at this point.

At least until Donald releases something documenting his claim ... shyeah, like that will ever happen ...

Of course, there is that little matter from a few years ago, where NBC released a statement saying that at that time, Trump had wildly exaggerated the amount he claimed to have made off The Apprentice ...

But there may be another little problem for Donald ... if he, in fact, made a false claim in his FEC filings ...

They tend to take a dim view of that sort of thing ...

NBC gives Donald a Trump-sized raise to $160M
Playing the presidential card has paid off for Donald Trump.

The real-estate mogul and reality-TV host — who kept viewers and the NBC network guessing until the last minute whether he would make a serious run at the Oval Office — got a sizeable pay raise to renew his contract to host “The Celebrity Apprentice” for another two years.

NBC Universal, which was acquired by cable-TV giant Comcast this year, agreed to pay Trump and co-producer Mark Burnett an estimated $160 million over two years, according to sources familiar with the contract.

Trump, who was in Scotland yesterday touting his plan to build a new golf course, couldn’t be reached for comment. But sources said he will personally pocket $65 million a year, a substantial increase on his previous deal with the Peacock Network.

“They stepped up,” said one source close to the show. “It was an increase over last season.”

With this new deal, Trump becomes the highest-paid reality-TV star, eclipsing the “American Idol” judges and the Kardashian clan.

Trump co-owns “The Apprentice” franchise with Burnett but receives a big fee for serving as the star of the show.

According to Forbes’ Celebrity 100 List, Trump pockets $60 million annually on his entertainment ventures, while Burnett earns $45 million from a variety of shows he produces, such as NBC’s “The Voice,” ABC’s “Shark Tank” and CBS’s “Survivor.”

By comparison, Simon Cowell was paid an estimated $45 million for his turn on Fox’s “American Idol.” (News Corp. owns Fox and The Post.)

Last month, Trump, who had insisted he was serious about pursuing the Republican nomination despite skeptics who considered it a negotiating ploy, announced he would forego his political ambitions in favor of his lucrative TV career.

Trump played his possible presidential run for maximum effect, boosting ratings for “Celebrity Apprentice,” until the fourth-ranked NBC, which is struggling to find new hits, finally pushed him to make a decision about his primetime berth.

“The Apprentice,” a big product-placement vehicle for Madison Avenue, has been on air since 2004. It will enter its 11th cycle next March, when it is due back on air in its usual Sunday night slot.

Sources said the show has already lined up a slew of deals with the likes of Procter & Gamble and General Motors for next season.

The season finale of “Celebrity Apprentice,” drew a 2.9 rating and 8.36 million people in the 18- to 49-year-old demographic. It was the second-highest rated show of the night on May 22 but fell 15 percent from the previous year’s finale.

The finale featured country star John Rich beating actress Marlee Matlin to receive a $250,000 check for a charity of his choice.

“Celebrity Apprentice” is licensed in 89 countries.[email protected]

Oh ... anonymous "sources" quoted in the New York Post ? ... well, now I'm certainly convinced ...
"The Post has been criticized since the beginning of Murdoch's ownership for sensationalism, blatant advocacy and conservative bias. In 1980, the Columbia Journalism Review stated that "the New York Post is no longer merely a journalistic problem. It is a social problem – a force for evil."

Perhaps the most serious allegation against the Post is that it is willing to contort its news coverage to suit Murdoch's business needs, in particular that the paper has avoided reporting anything that is unflattering to the government of the People's Republic of China, where Murdoch has invested heavily in satellite television. ...

According to a survey conducted by Pace University in 2004, the Post was rated the least-credible major news outlet in New York, and the only news outlet to receive more responses calling it "not credible" than credible (44% not credible to 39% credible). ..."

Funny. It's a conspiracy by Rupert Murdoch and the NewYork Post.
Fact remains,O'Donnell said Trump is lying and called him a 'liar' about his earnings he reported to run for President. (Similar to when Harry Reid lied by saying Romney didn't pay his taxes)And then he couldn't back it up.

Check out O'Donnell's apology for his remarks. While contrite, he glosses over the part when he called Trump a liar and said that he lies, from the previous day.
[bold emphasis and parenthesis with content mine]
Apology from article:
Now for a few words about Donald Trump. I like him. […] When I met Donald Trump just three months ago, Donald was making his grand entrance in the ballroom of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and I was sitting alone at a table minding my own business. He spotted me, called my name. And watch what he did. He stretches out his hand for a handshake. That — he does that to a guy who savaged him four years ago when he was talking about running for president.

[…] Donald is now bothered by my disbelief (calling Trump a 'liar' and saying he lies) that I’ve expressed about how much money NBC paid him as the star of The Apprentice series. And today Donald came up with a better idea than threatening to sue me this time. He challenged me to bet 100 percent of my salary that I am wrong about his NBC income. Now where I come from, no one settled their disagreements with bets because none of us had any money to bet.

So, no, Donald, there won’t be any bet because I would never bet about anything. […] And, I might be wrong. I have never said I know exactly how much Donald Trump made for the entire series. I don’t know. I’ve made semi-educated guesses about it and I don’t really care very much about it. ( except he droned on about Trump's supposed lies for multiple minutes)[…] I stupidly jumped into talking about it again on Morning Joetoday where I, in effect, hijacked a few minutes of the show to talk about this thing that I know doesn’t matter.

[…] I don’t want the prize for the guy who uses the meanest words (liar) in the debate. I don’t want to be the angry guy about Donald Trump. (Because it might bite you in the ass when someone tells you to back it up with dollars)Because I’m not. I had been eating up time that should have been devoted to Joe and Mika’s interview with April Ryan, who had just joined the panel to discuss her very important question to President Obama yesterday in the press conference about Bill Cosby.

Now, I am really sorry that I wasted the time that should have been focused on what April Ryan had to say.

Donald J. Trump Response to Huffington Post

Mr. Trump is number one in the unimportant Huffington Post poll, along with all other recently released polls including Reuters, FOX, USA Today/Suffolk University and The Economist.

Mr. Trump is in first place in Nevada, where he is also number one, by a wide margin, with Hispanics. He is number one in North Carolina and expects to win Iowa and New Hampshire.

Mr. Trump singlehandedly raised the issue of illegal immigration and started a national conversation about what has turned out to be one of the most important topics of this election cycle.

Likewise, Mr. Trump is the leader on issues such as the terrible United States trade deals, strengthening our military, taking care of our great Vets and the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.

If you read previously written Tweets, Mr. Trump has never been a fan of Arianna Huffington or the money-losing Huffington Post.

The only clown show in this scenario is the Huffington Post pretending to be a legitimate news source. Mr. Trump is not focused on being covered by a glorified blog. He is focused on Making America Great Again.

I've never cared for remarks about a candidate's appearance, but c'mon: when the man can't see what looks like a dead rodent perched on his forehead, he is not POTUS material. Period.

You don't see perhaps just a smidgen of hypocrisy in that sentence? Instead of a comma after "appearance," you should have typed a period, and then stopped typing.

Of course the man knows what his hair looks like. His hair is famous. And he's famous for it. He does it on purpose. He's done dozens of interviews where they talk about his hair, not to mention he's had countless hair and makeup people work on it before television appearances. At his very first campaign stop after he announced his candidacy, he took questions from one woman about his hair and invited another up on stage to touch it. He told the crowd, "I really am very smart and I'm very good at business and I can make this country so rich. Maybe people don't like my style. Maybe they don't like my hair, which is real, by the way."

He is also aware of and has commented favorably on the #TrumpYouCat hashtag.

So clearly he knows what his hair looks like and what people think of it. And now, since he can and does, see what looks like a dead rodent perched on his foredhead, then by your own criteria he is, absolutely, POTUS material. Period.

Whoops.
