Yes but there has been no explanation yet, so the circumstances remain unknown. I have a theory but without the explanation, it’s not a theory I can defend. You seem less encumbered by logical rigor, so draw what conclusions you will. Just don’t expect others to blindly buy in.

He doesn’t look like an officer to you? Would a person coming up on him get the impression that he was an officer since he appears to be in police uniform? Yes or no?

You cannot legitimately argue or imply that one officer waving people on somehow legitimizes illegal entry into a restricted area when the area was in fact restricted and hundreds of other officers were using force to keep people out.

Yes restricted don’t go in there. Sure.
Some that came later may not have seen the fights and people pushed back. Arrived in the aftermath and were allowed to go in. Police officer waving to come this way. Some people may not have known what transpired earlier. Some shouldn’t just assume that everyone knew or saw what happened.

You don’t know why he was waving people to come in then? Was this at the same time or later?

You are talking about a single officer. What about the many others who were clearly doing everything they could to keep people out? And what about the fact that force or commands were used to eventually clear the building so business could resume? The police intent was not to aid the protests in the building. It was to keep. the protesters out. We know this because that’s what they finally did. They cleared the protesters out.

It was a restricted area. Just some people who arrived later may not have known it was a restricted area because at some point they were let in by police before being cleared out later to conduct business. Like officers decided to let people in and walk thru. Let them protest a bit, take pictures, and then clear them out with commands.
