The Trump Card...

So what? People can protest by the capitol. They just can't resort to violence, tresspass, etc.

So it potentially places a figure on the number of people who went to the Capitol.

Also: pretty sure that tresspassing might include entering an area which had been cordoned off by temporary barriers, which Capitol/DC police were telling people to stay outside of.

Waters also said she would "take Trump out". Not inciting violence?
No, no, no. It's not a fact. When Waters said she would "take Trump out" she was saying it as a meme, which means the fact that she said it isn't a fact because it's a meme. And as we've all recently learned, memes are not facts. Even when they are.

That Waters said it is certainly a fact.

Inciting violence ?

Well, not so much.

And she said that because she is 79 years old her comments couldn't be taken as a threat. There must be an age limit on that or something.

Of the approximately 30,000 that attended the rally and heard his speech 18,000. didnt go to the capitol and remained peaceful. Of the remaining 12,000 (40%) how many of them remained peaceful?( no assault or destruction of property)

Federal officials estimated as many as 800 people entered the building. Only a fraction of those are being investigated or have been charged with violence or destruction of property. Most of those who have been charged have been charged with entering and remaining on restricted grounds, and of violent entry (although most of the violent entry charges are likely to be dropped absent proof, as most people simply entered through an open door).

Accurate estimates of the crowd size are impossible because aerial photography in that area of DC is prohibited, and the Washington Monument is too far away for anything accurate in that area of the Eclipse. In the immediate Elipse area of the speech, 30,000 people is unlikely, because that's one square foot per person, which is stampede density, or mosh pit density. Best guesstimates based on photographs of the scene put things at 3-5 square feet per person, which is still quite packed, but more in the 10,000 to 12,000 people range, at most.

Thus far.

But it's early.

That's ok ... it shouldn't be rushed and it's already been moving at a pretty rapid clip ... we're not in a hurry.

Just do a thorough job.

They aren't offering any pleas at this point.

Got it. It shouldn't be rushed. They're still investigating.
Yet Dems already impeached in the House within 2 weeks after and are forging ahead next week with Shampeachment.

Trump’s lie that the election was stolen has cost $519 million

Anybody wanna guess how much it will ultimately cost US taxpayers to reunite the over 600 children who were ripped from their parent or guardian's custody that have not yet been reunited ?

And the cost of compensatory damages for that ?

So much for "I'll work for free ..."

The guy was a complete and utter disaster ... worst President evah ...

:tearsofjoy:
I think Trump will go down as one of the greatest Presidents ever.
Even though he was undermined every step of the way by petulant people that couldn't accept his Presidency.

Criminal investigations and prosecutions - which carry a very different burden in terms of evidence and proof than political acts like impeachment - should proceed on a slower, more thorough basis (obviously )

Sounds like another vote for a long, drawn-out trial to present all the evidence ... even the circumstantial stuff.

Good show ... :clapping-happy:

Just so we're clear: What would be the appropriate timeframe, to weigh the evidence - which will be presented in due course during the Senate trial ?

We talking' weeks ... or maybe months ?

Personally, I prefer something a little longer myself.

His speech exonerates him alone. "Peacefully and patriotically".
