Typical, exactly! Typical liberal ploy. Taking something out of context to try and use against President Trump. Yang wanted universal basic income for every adult at $1000/month, just because. Trump is providing relief for Americans who are out of work or maybe out of work due the Coronavirus. I don't believe every American needs this money and Trump's plan is ripe for misuse.Yang wants to give everyone $1,000 he's some crazy socialist.

Andrew Yang: "I'm pleased to see the White House adopt our vision of putting money directly into the hands of hard-working Americans. It's unfortunate to see this development take place under the current circumstances, but this is exactly what Universal Basic Income is designed to do -- offer a way to ensure that Americans can make ends meet when they need it most,"
I didn't say that I don't want the cash. I believe that not every American needs it. As of right now I don't need it, but if offered I will certainly take it. We built a new house a year ago and took out a 30 year mortgage that we planned to pay off sometime this summer. That's on hold and we are looking into refinancing at a lower rate.Moot, if you don't want the cash .. send it back.

We don't live paycheck to paycheck. It would be nice if this disaster teaches Americans to put some money aside for such emergencies.

I got a question .....
During Trump's press conference yesterday he boldly proclaimed that he's invoking the Defense Production Act. To ramp up production of medical supplies. Later in the day, he tweets this ...

I only signed the Defense Production Act to combat the Chinese Virus should we need to invoke it in a worst case scenario in the future. Hopefully there will be no need, but we are all in this TOGETHER!
Which is it? Are we ramping up production of needed supplies or not?
