We shouldn't forget the fundamental fact that Trump offered 10K Nation Guard troops to secure the Capitol and both Pelosi and the Mayor of DC turned down the offer. Only after the riot was over did Democrats decide to redefine it as an "insurrection" and proceed with their J6 theater and mass political persecutions.

Ragman you think it's funny but Pelosi and the January 6th committee withheld over 40,000 hours of video footage and what they did show was very carefully edited to show their narrative..... not the truth.
They lied about the shaman running through the building....when in fact he was escorted by Capitol police. What else are they lieing about?

They didn’t show Trump’s full comments in context of his speech, edited the tape of Sen Josh Hawley running “alone”, and didn’t show any of the flash bangs. They also downplayed whatever Ray Epps did. There’s much more than that though.
I doubt she thought they were needed, she probably thought cooler heads would prevail, but hindsight being 20/20 yes she should have accepted the troops.
40,000 hours of nothing, they pieced together the footage that mattered and that is what was shown to us. Do you have 40,000 hours to watch all the footatge?
What Tucker provided was an opposing point of view and a defense for some of the accused, which is normal for most hearings of this nature - just like court proceedings. The J6 committee refused this basic right for defendants and even refused to seat Republicans like Jim Jordan who wouldn't support the "insurrection" narrative.
This was a kangaroo court made for TV, and part of a bigger Democrat game plan to not only persecute Trump, but also American citizens who do not agree with their Marxist agenda.

The fact that a lot of evidence was blocked citing security concerns was BS because the video of the shaman being escorted around the Capitol building by Capitol police is something that would have kept him out of prison....it took Mccarthy and tucker Carlson to free him.
That just means that the officers that showed him around the building should be in prison next to him!!!!

I doubt they were given that order, they did it on their own, lots of police officers are Trump worshippers and believed the big lie.
The Shaman was just one example of a non-violent political prisoner who was denied due process, which included the withholding of exculpatory evidence contained in those videos. Hundreds are still being held without bail, waiting on charges. This is the kind of stuff that happens in Cuba.

No. There’s discretion in policing. Those officers accessed that the Horns Guy was just a harmless flake and didn’t try to heavy hand the situation. It’s what officers are supposed to do, deescalate if all possible. It’s what Officer Byrd failed miserably to do when a 5’3” unarmed female protester stepped through a glass partition.

They have had bail hearings, there is no legal way to hold them in jail without that, more than likely they cant afford the bail. But this is just another example of our justice system taking way too long to give them their trial.
If you want to know why the "evil Democrats" are trying to eliminate bail, its because the prosecutors are so overwhelmed with cases it takes them years to schedule a trial. We need to get more resources to the DA's offices so they can get these trials done and over with and stop dragging them out.
Once someone is arraigned for a crime, there should be no more than 6 months for the trial.

There were two NY “lawyers” arrested and charged after throwing a Molotov cocktail into a police vehicle during the BLM riots.
They originally were facing up to 30 years in prison. They had that recommendation reduced to 10 years. A plea deal of up to five years was rescinded in exchange of a new one that had a penalty of up to 24 months. One received 15 months and the other got a little over a year prison sentence.
The non violent fellow who may have put scuff marks on Pelosi’s desk by putting his shoes on it received almost 5 years.
